Playing through the Trails series, just finished the Crossbell arc which was fantastic.

Tried playing Tales of Arise, but I'm not really liking it. The combat seems fine for now, albeit a bit clunky, but the story started off really weak and after the first lord I'm not really interested. I got Vesperia too, so I might try that.

This week I finished Trails in the Sky SC which was good, although I enjoyed FC's story's smaller scope more.

Tried playing Sea of Stars, but I felt like the writing was so bad I couldn't play more than like 3 hours. So I started and finished Chrono Trigger over the weekend which was great and I'm surprised it exists on SNES.

Now playing Bravely Default II (just started) .

Anyone know of good non roguelike deckbuilders?

Same. No bugs, but it just didn't live up to the hype for me. I dropped it just after starting chapter 2.

For me it's dark souls after the lordvessel. The areas in that section are the worst part of the game IMO.

Also in dmc5 I hate having to play V's missions, luckily you can skip them with the mission select, but you still have to play through them at least once when unlocking a new difficulty.

I also recently replayed cyberpunk 2077 and while I did generally enjoy the game, the ending was a slog and I had to force myself to finish it.

Ah I didn't realize that. I might try it again then.

Harvesting food, collecting water, random gathering for materials to craft. I guess it gets better later in the game, but I tried starting it twice and after ~10h I dropped it both times because I was annoyed with the resources.

Luckily on my actual work PC I can use whatever I want, but on other devices I'm forced to use Edge both because of restrictions on what I can install and because there's a lot of internal applications that still rely on vbscript.

Wdym? The hardware is just a shitty audio interface that doesn't even work properly on passive bass.

Does this include third-party games or is it only for Nintendo hosted servers?

Recently completed Dark Souls for the first time. I'm not sure if I enjoyed it, but it was a unique experience.

Started Monster Hunter Rise on PC. Some things feel a bit "off" but it's enjoyable (I actually tried playing on Switch when the game released, but it was miserable)

I have a few:

  • Tunic: I thought it had more than one puzzle, with how it was being talked about online, but it ended up repeating the same thing for 6 hours reusing the same gimmick over and over - after a below average first half.

  • Xenoblade Chronicles (DE): the characters were really uninteresting, the story kept spoiling every attempted twist it had with needless foreshadowing and the combat felt really boring. The world was empty and it felt like a dead MMO.

  • 13 Sentinels: I won't spoil anything specific, but the story was just a bunch of the most generic sci-fi cliches.

  • Monster Hunter Rise: I love World/Iceborne and really enjoyed the parts I played of GU and 4U but Rise just felt bad to play.

  • Games that force daily tasks/gacha games: I hate being forced - or even just being hinted at having - to grind daily. It just ends up pushing me away from the game, even if I'm enjoying it. I can't play games like Genshin Impact and Star Rail, but also the daily challenges in sf5/6 bother me every time I see them.

I also don't really get roguelikes, but I'm not sure if I just haven't found one I enjoy or I don't like the genre.
