Early operations losses are normal and not a cause for immediate concern, the CFO quitting after a yelling match with the CEO is though.

If this went anything like the yelling matches I hear in local companies between CFOs or even CPAs vs the CEOs, it likely boils down to the CEO being ingorant of the finer details of financial law and reporting practices and insisting that the CFO or CPA do something that's either against best practice, or flat out inappropriate or borderline illegal.

The CFO I know personally gets yelled at consistently for doing things that are the reason outside financers still work with the company. They're also the sole reason the IRS isn't levying hell against the buisness and the owners wife grovels to them to assure that at least she knows how important the work is.

The takeawy is CEOs are pretty dumb and hate being told no, and I'd honestly be surprised if the reality of the situation is much different from the one I described.

Shockingly, when you don't come down hard enough on price gougers during a global pandemic, the rest of pf buisnesses get the idea you're unwiling to punish anyone for price gouging.

If I was a judge I'd tell meta their attempt to buy what they wanted, then breaking IP law as soon as money couldn't get what they wanted in hopes money in court would get them what they want is enough guilt for me. You really don't need a degree in behavioral science to know a tantrum when you see one. This is a money tantrum by meta. Probably why im not a judge but hey, don't tell me you wouldn't enjoy a system that doesn't give the benefit of the doubt to those that did everything to prove they're irresponsible with said benefit.

Every iteration of gun control, with few exceptions, carves out exceptions for LEOs and Military. If you want this to stop a good start would be making these guys have to follow the laws the rest of us do, because if you campaign for more of the same from your lawmakers, I guarantee there will still be exceptions for the people who protect the rich.

Glad even the title is questions their status as 'moderates' because I really don't think those exist anymore in the republican party. If you really want to find a moderate conservative, you can find plenty in the democratic party.

Some women I know in this position believe they're somehow different or better than the people who the cops treat like animals and that it would never happen to them, only to the undesirables that deserve it. Over 40% of them are wrong according to statistics.

It's no surprise the ratcheting rightward of global politics is coinciding with increased war and violent conflict, they fuel each other. Peace is bad for the fascist so I'd be very wary if I was Argentine.

They killed multiple journalists earlier this week and killed at least 6 in a strike on a school and this hospital debacle has drowned all of that out.

Here's a tip for Americans, if you want to annoy a Canadian ask them if they're from Alberta, if they ask why tell them they give of Alberta vibes, if you're feeling sauce just say 'Berta vibes instead of Alberta vibes.

Idk how long a lot of you have been off reddit but I was there just after Sync for lemmy was announced and it had a lot of people saying they'd come over with Sync. So Idgaf if it's got ads or a premium fee, because I don't have to use it. I can just let the people who want it use it and let the fediverse grow.
