On some shoes I've gotten around 1000 miles, while others have started to get early wear at a tenth that much. Agreed with others who say that if you feel something, try switching to a new pair. Even if you don't, the cushioning breaks down gradually, so after several hundred miles it doesn't hurt to get new shoes for comparison. If they feel like walking on clouds compared to the current ones, you'll know what to do.

Coincidentally I tried a 180 BPM playlist yesterday and it didn't go so great. It was a general purpose run, and I only kept up with the beat for a few minutes before deciding it was feeling way harder than usual. My average cadence ended up at 173, so not that far off, but I'll probably stick to running by feel and heart rate for now.

Right by the lake is also, IMHO, the best angle from which to view Chicago's impressive skyline. I miss it all the time.

This isn't true. Reuters is owned by a Canadian company, and AP is independent.

Given the intentions of Ryan Walters for Oklahoma schools, this might be as good of a place as any to mention the Greenwood Rising museum, opened in Tulsa in 2021 for the 100th anniversary of the massacre. It's an absolutely fantastic place.

From talking with people who went through the OK public school system, this history hasn't really been given much attention even prior to the latest shenanigans. It boggles the mind to think that thousands of black residents of Tulsa were rounded up and interned around town, and the incident wasn't even included in the state curriculum for 80 years.
