I'll watch no anime for months, then I'll find a show I really like and watch 6 episodes a day. Dungeon Meshi was that show recently.

Just tried it, and yep, that solved that problem.

I've always wondered what the hell these people do with all that space. I live in a 700sqft apartment and even that feels excessive (albeit living alone). If I had unlimited money and owned that mansion, I'd run out of ideas before making use of even 25% of the building.

I'm not saying it wasn't safe, it's just perhaps not quite as safe as some of the other ones. Some of them are built so that they don't fall over at all.

Unless you're watching Tenet, in which case the audio sucks no matter how good your setup is.

From their Open Collective page:

DankPods uses Linux on his gaming system, which I just found out recently. Seems like Linux is starting to gain traction in the content creator space now, which is neat.

Linus mentioned that Emily (her new name) has been internally pushing for a Linux gaming revisit on a recent Wan Show, so hopefully something comes of that.

Also an upcoming tech upgrade video will be for someone who's switching to Linux.

I'm surprised that the fediverse is as popular as it is, I would've guessed <500k. That's awesome. I'm also shocked that Threads is apparently that popular, I completely forgot it existed immediately after it launched. I also didn't know that Snapchat still existed, so maybe I'm just out of touch on social media stuff.

Publishers who do this make shit games anyway.

As someone who really wants to see desktop Linux grow, I try not to think like this because I know others care about these games...but goddammit if I don't completely agree with you on the inside. I do not understand the obsession with these ~~games~~ products, they're exclusively designed to keep you playing and paying for as long as possible to avoid fomo for digital garbage.

There are a tiny handful of non-live service games that still use anti-cheat, and most of those have already enabled support for Proton. Dragon Ball FighterZ is literally the only exception that I can think of, and even that's playable offline IIRC.

I remember when Proton launched it was like magic playing games like Doom and Nier Automata straight from the Linux Steam client with excellent performance. I do not miss the days of having the Windows version of Steam installed separately.

I’m curious what people here listen to, and I’m also looking for new ones to check out. I’m personally a big fan of Linux Unplugged, MBMBaM, Lateral, and Twenty Thousand Hertz!

I also cannot get Lemmy’s search to work, so apologies if this was already a recent topic.

EDIT: I have so many new podcasts to listen to now.
