I got about45 minutes into Persona 5 Royal (so almost through the intro!), but I don't think I'll be going much further with that one. I'm still playing Platinum otherwise, and debating a Fire Emblem run soon, just because it's been a little while.

What did you think of Cassette Beasts? I watched a play through of that one not long ago with mixed reaction. But, I'm curious as to how others received it and how they felt about playing through it.

Wrapping up ORAS and debating between Platinum and Heart Gold. It's nostalgia week, I guess, as my husband is currently replaying a bunch of Final Fantasy games. XD

I am deep into a run of Alpha Sapphire. I swear I play games other than Pokemon (mostly newer gen Fire Emblem). XD

I'm not going to lie, a small part of me read that article and wondered if it was completely made up content. Then again, I could absolutely see it happening. O_o

@cloaker

Honestly, I have found Kbin to be a really solid experience. I think it pulls off a lot. so when I say I'm always happy for things to improve, I really just mean I'm happy for them to grow into themselves. :)

@overzeetop

I actually think that for those who wish to migrate, or even just diversify, a slow migration through awareness building is ideal. A lot of forums that people rely on won't easily be built up overnight. Not to mention the strain of so many people moving over to new platforms at once.

I remember reading about the various challenges that came about when the Twitter meltdown began. Everything from emergency announcements to disability advocacy and support wound up being impacted.

We still don't know what the future of Reddit is. Whether things up wind up resolving for better or worse with the platform (and tbh I hope it's better for the many people who still love it and have found an online home there), establishing an awareness of alternatives is great. It means people will know they have somewhere to go if the ship goes down.

I feel like with Twitter it was a lot harder for people to find that and many are still looking.

@tauonite

I'm still learning the ropes. I agree a lot works well, but I'm always happy for things to become easier and more accessible. I love the idea that as people find their different niches across platforms and servers that work well for them, it's still possible to maintain that connectivity.

I'm liking it a lot! Love that we can shout over the fence to our neighbors. :)

Mob Psycho 100
This one is still fairly recent, but it's just so good. It's kind of like Dragon Ball Z meets sweet slice of life anime? The Reigen Manga that followed was also amazing!

Revolutionary Girl Utena
This one is straight up a classic and it's been on my list for years, despite knowing relatively little about it. It's notoriously thick and heavy on the symbolism. I can see why it was so popular for its time. I don't know that it's a favorite, but I feel like I'll spend the rest of my life unpacking all of it.

The original Yugioh anime.
I'm cheating a little bit because I finished this one slightly less recently than the others, but also I love it and this thread is making me consider if a rewatch is in order soon. Probably after MP100, because I'm still not over that one.

@Shortcake Kaguya-sama is so worth it.

Spy x Family is another amazing one.

[-] avividtale@kbin.social 6 points 1 year ago

@Shortcake I'm obsessed with Mob Psycho 100, but for other comedies...

Kaguya-Sama: Love Is War is hilarious and so is Bocchi the Rock. They're both more in the slice of life category, but the relationships between characters are front and center in a way that is less slapstick and more personal? I guess. KSLW especially is just...hilarious, even if you're not in it for the love story.
