It's not reasonable to assume that most people are going to self-host, or even how to go about doing that if they wanted to, but people still deserve a right to privacy and products that support that. I think that's what they were trying to say
I have ADHD. This has two consequences:
- My ADHD meds are a diuretic, so on days when I take them I expel more water than I otherwise would. Making matters worse, I feel like when I take them I often just don't really get thirsty. As a result, if I don't pretty actively remind myself to drink water then I can easily find myself only noticing that I'm thirsty when I'm noticeably pretty dehydrated. Like, "wtf why are my eyes so dry? Oh right I don't think I've had any water since like yesterday morning".
- On days when I don't take my meds (weekends), I might notice I'm thirsty but then just get distracted by something and forget about it for hours. The same applies to a lot of other bodily needs. No, I don't know how I've survived this long.
To be fair, this one isn't The Onion but rather another similar site. (Obviously your point still stands though)
Actually, it's spelled curb in the US
As well as the "U" in USB, interpreted rather generally
If he's already paid for the month, then he's paid for the month. I'm not sure what part of that you're finding complicated.
If he's cancelling, he's choosing not to pay for any following months but as this month is already paid for, he should continue to get what he paid for for the remainder of the month.
If cancelling means that he doesn't get what he paid for this month, then yes, Patreon is essentially stealing his money by not giving him what they agreed to. The only fair solution to that would be if Patreon were to give him a partial refund pro-rated by how far into the month he is, but the wording of their "warning" doesn't imply that whatsoever.

I've unironically been using this font ever since I found it a year or two ago. I find it makes it so much easier to read everything. I've even suggested it to others. It's actually a decent font.
Seconding this. My company issued me a MacBook and I was really surprised by how well the touchpad worked, and how smoothly gestures work with it. For as much hate as Apple gets, a lot really Just Werks™. Windows and KDE (Wayland) (I haven't tested other DEs) are certainly improving, but they're still nowhere near as smooth as what MacOS has had for a pretty long time now.
The crazy thing is that I've hackintoshed a ThinkPad T430 and T480, both with full gesture support (but no force touch, though to be fair I don't use that anyway). In both cases, using their touchpads on MacOS was much better than on Windows or KDE. Though some touchpads aren't that great to begin with (like, the one on the T430 is pretty small), it's crazy how much of a difference good software can make to how they feel to use.
