I've tried both CalyxOS and GrapheneOS, since I've had a Pixel already. I don't consider one "better" than the other.

Calyx is based on LineageOS, so you get a wider range of devices and functionality. It uses microG, which works great as long you don't use any apps with IAP.

GrapheneOS' play service sandbox can handle the case though, so I went with that, not being able to live without MacroDroid pro. Plus I like they got rid of Google location services altogether, and functionality-wise I'm not missing anything either.

Other people will have other priorities or preferences when it comes to their devices. Use whatever tickles your pickle.

is it really easier to make a screenshot instead of just hitting "share"?

in my last workplace, support put pictures into word documents instead of sending them directly, this gives me the same vibes

edit: oh i see it's insta, makes more sense now

Austria passed a law recently to confiscate and auction off your vehicle in cases like this.

If you're travelling to another country, you also get a different culture, architecture, cuisine,... even if it's "close by". That's the real criticism here that people don't get, if you're only travelling within the US, everything's pretty much the same, and you'll never expand your horizon much

In its post, Apple argues that web apps are built “directly on WebKit” — the engine used by Safari — allowing web apps to “align with the security and privacy model for native apps on iOS.” With the change to iOS 17.4, websites added to the homescreen now act only as bookmarks that open a new tab in your browser

even if we play along with this bs argument, they could also have kept pwas enabled as long as a user is actually using webkit, and change the behaviour only if the web engine is changed. seems like a petty move to turn European iPhone users against pro-consumer laws. "the EU took our ~~jobs~~ webapps!"

you can't ask for feedback, then attack everyone who doesn't share your opinion with "did you read it?", that's not cool...
