It's all been invented before yeah but at least some of them are within the past two decades like the smartphone projector or whatever.

Seat cushion Kitchen gloves

But some of this stuff has been around for 50+ years.

I also love how much of it is normal product but with the word college put in front. A clothes hamper? Simple, boring, not innovative. A Collegelife clothes hamper? Genius.

The word autism to me isn't like "something I have" but rather just a descriptive term about me and my traits. It's like

"That person is nice" = nice person "that person is mean" = mean person "That person is into art" = artistic person

Autism is just a label, an observation made that "hey people with X and Y trait also seem to have A, B, C trait in common". I would be who I am with or without the word existing so putting it as something I "have" rather than am feels odd.

But you're free to use and prefer what you want for yourself.

The thing about FDC is that there are certainly people on social media who misunderstand things like autism and are likely diagnosing themselves incorrectly. But there's a reason why pretty much all their focus is on TikTok, it's because they're children! Of course a 12-year-old on tiktok doesn't have a deep understanding of what autism symptoms looks like. And yes that 10 year old probably doesn't have DID when they say they're a Danganronpa character but you know what they do have? An imagination.

At best they're literally making fun of children having fun playing and not perfectly understanding the world and at worst are making fun of children going through serious struggles trying to find an answer for themselves.

And that's not even to mention the FDC very rarely has an understanding of what these disabilities look like either. Like sensory processing issues is well known to have high comorbidity with autism and yet saying you dont like loud noises gets the response of "no one likes them, you're not special". But if no one likes them then why do people go to the movies? Why are concerts a thing?

It's a horrible sub through and through that pretends to be righteous by "correcting misinformation" but in reality is just laughing at and insulting kids.

This is a big reason that high quality TVs are getting so much more affordable.

There's a lot of reasons like improved technology and efficiency but yeah, the ability to play such targeted ads based off what you're doing is pretty insane and they have a vested interest to sell at less profit.

And at the end of the day the amount of people who are willing to just not connect their TV to the internet in the first place or find a way to circumvent them is low. Like it still shocks me every time I see a YouTuber not have adblock on.

“A feature of capitalism is a gap between rich and poor,” said Shih Wing Ching, the owner of Centaline property, the biggest property agency in Hong Kong, who has taken up the golf club’s cause, though he does not play himself. “If you try to erase the feature, say by taking away golf, then it’s not capitalism, it’s socialism.” And he says that is not what Hong Kong needs.

LMAO

Well actually, have you considered I'm doing it right now?

I've been playing games ever since I was a little kid, I don't really remember any particular "first game". We did have an old SNES that I did all the time so probably Super Mario World I guess.

Depends. If we mean "without a personal teacher" sure, but no one is looking at a book of a language the don't know and just suddenly learning it.

Parents are essential for student growth and education but that doesn't make them responsible for all of it. The entire point of school is to take on the the major burden of teaching kids with expertise and efficiency and providing a place for children to be with other children.

"I didn't say per Capita" bro that's exactly what you should expect of aid. No one is expecting idk, Lesotho to name some random small nation to give billions and billions in aid.

Per capita and percentage of sovereign wealth are the two main metrics people would judge off, not total amounts.

Same lol. Trying to go back to college but I havent done it at all before and not sure where to begin. And being 28, it's not like I have the naive "oh I'll just get a cool awesome job that respects me and this won't be an issue anymore!" that younger twenties get, I'm all aware Im basically putting myself into worsening debt slavery just for the hope of doing slightly more fulfilling than living with my parents (maybe I can get a shitty apartment instead!) and listening to a bunch of 70 year olds get pissed about their order.
