@supersquirrel I agree completely. The intent, setup, participation (including springer nature and everyone who publishes there), isn't "dumb" though.
It's malicious, evil, negligent or whatever you want to call it.
I dislike "stupid" because it leaves that room for innocent mistakes and unintentional behavior.
People didn't care for ethical standards and this is the outcome.

It's the direct consequence of having and collecting a bunch of data. Being able to come up with any idea, throw it against the wall and see what sticks was the entire point in the first place. Having almost all of them fail to find the ones that don't was the point of the setup.
This kind of use is also the reason why anyone who ever warned about data collection warned about it.
The cyberpunk thing rested completely on player choices, autonomy and an "alive" city. That was sort of hyped up and then the game was a very traditional linear RPG with an OK background.
An OK game but nothing genre redefining.
And there was hope that it would be, because CDPR had proven their competence and they had enough cash and autonomy to do something crazy and new and exciting and good. And they "merely" made a good game.

I remember mentions that there were methods to host static content on ipfs. But I didn't do it myself. That's not "activity pub" federated but ipfs is also distributed.

Beispiel parken und stvo. Entweder man macht halt total autozentriert, das lieferen die üblichen Verdächtigen.
Oder man macht halt *richtig* das Gegenprogram und klärt dann aber auch Fragen wie das halbe Gehwegparken und stellt dann auch das Personal ein um es zu kontrollieren und macht ÖPNV.
Das das Rumgeeier mit Apellen und finanziellen Anreizen in Höhe von 2.50€ und "ganz dolle hoffen das schon keiner falsch handelt" in die Hose geht ist eigentlich schon Absicht.
Ich kann verstehen das das komisch klingt, weil man sonst Führung tatsächlich eigentlich nur von Rechts sieht.
Das kann zu der Verwechslung führen das man glaubt alle Führung ist automatisch immer Rechts.
Ich hätte gerne jemanden der einfach den demokratischen mainstream kennt und ausspricht und dann hinterher ist das Problem tatsächlich zu lösen und nicht so tut als "liegt es jetzt an der GeSeLlSchaFt initiative zu zeigen". (1/2)

Sagen sie nein, hast du deinen Job weiter und es verändert sich nichts. Sagen sie ja, hast du eine Gehaltserhöhung.
Es ist wirklich ein mentaler Schritt, einzusehen das alle die "viel" verdienen einfach nur die Dreistigkeit so verinnerlicht haben, das sie nicht mehr rot werden wenn sie hohe Zahlen sagen.

Das klingt gut, aber ich glaube nicht das man da wirklich Willens ist das umzusetzen.
Ich würde ein ausgeprägtes Tag-system bevorzugen das sehr sehr klar macht aus welchem Umfeld eine Nachricht kommt, wer sie bestätigen kann, wie die Quellenlage aussieht.
Aber ich beobachte das mal.

Größere Firmen, Parteien und Führungspersonen haben eigentlich immer eine Verantwortung die sie erfüllen müssen. Da macht sich "dumm" schlecht als Erklärung.
Deswegen war beim Abgasskandal "oopsie woopsie" auch keine valide Verteidigung.

Someone asked me to do a minimal but fully working prototype of... a docker hosted store front? It was apparently not very good, but the startup was kind enough to tell me why and I learned a lot. It did work, but I shoved entire python objects into sqlite and that just worked.
Ultimately I don't know if it was what they wanted, they fixed three things and used it or if it was truly not good enough.
