This is good advice.

ammoseek.com lets you search for low cost ammo. Just pay attention to whether the price is for new, reman, or reloaded ammo. Best to stick with new.

The article doesn’t make this clear but “proficiency testing” is a “testing the testers” activity that ensures that labs’ procedures are working. So milk testing done by labs will still be done but those labs won’t be tested until this is resolved. Yes, the activity being stopped is important but a short stall shouldn’t immediately accept food safety.

IIRC the plan is for the de minimus exemption to end on May 2nd. So we may see similar changes for sub-$800 shipments after that.

I second the “check a thrift store” idea. People buy them, use them 3 times, then eventually donate them so you’ll likely find several barely used models.
