I work in gas turbine generation and told a customer that his equipment must have been built on an ancient burial ground and by the problems that he has had that he might want to get a blessing for it. He had been having random shutdowns and trips for many days. ( it was really probably down to the mountains and lightning TBH)

I started doing ParkRuns after I finished the couch25K as a way of keeping me engaged in running. I work away from home so not always possible as there are fewer in Europe but I still manage to get some good ones in. It’s not a race and all abilities go and everyone’s really friendly there are the fast ones and PB’s and thats fun too. Finally I use it as my routine timed run to see how I’m doing, I’m off to do one in a new place today too.

ParkRun for me today then a potter in the garden then torment myself by watching the test match! Might even watch the qualifying for the F1 but we know how that’s going to finish.

The best advice I ever got was just run slow to start with and remember rest days are important.

I seem to remember using this as an excuse for years. I can’t run I’ve got bad knees. Turns out running had actually been quite good at rebuilding strength and haven’t had many problems in the last 2 years! I did start at 56 years old and have lost 30kgs in the process so that might have helped!
