  1. i think it's a really positive thing that got ruined by monetization and platformization. for a while the Internet and computing as a whole was sort of a separate world from the organization of the physical world, especially in the early days (obviously I wasn't there for that). now, i think social media is pretty negative especially with algorithmic content, everyone has their own feeds and it feels surprisingly isolated. however, niche corners of the Internet can be really great

  2. im not exactly sure. i think most people including my friends would agree that social media is pretty destructive currently

2009 so barely on the cusp. yes, most kids frequently use Instagram and it often leaks into daily conversation, talking about "reels" they saw or someone's "reposts". An interesting thing about this generation is that it's pretty self aware, but generally nobody cares about their destructive behaviors. which I guess is natural for teenagers

  1. so i go to a school that's pretty unlike most, it's a public charter school around the Sacramento California area. it has some questionable things about it that I could get into

  2. for me at least, it's not that bad. my school is really small so groups don't really pick on anyone. Usually it's slander behind people's backs.

  3. my school in particular is not at all diverse, it's about 90% white

  4. culture wise, maybe 8.5/10. curriculum wise, not great like 4/10.
