Hey thanks a lot for this. I forgot that it's paywalled by default 😅
lol. Thanks for sharing. The way he says "my dad" really cracked me up
Lol true. At least it's still going to be released in full on Youtube as well.
Huh, maybe I'll check it out then. I dropped MHA mid s3.
This is a good reminder for me that I should get around to watching Heavy Metal 2000 at some point.
What did you think of Justice League Crisis on Infinite Earths pt 1? Personally I thought it was mediocre but I liked the Barry and Iris plotline.
I'm kind of with you on Jujutsu Kaisen. Really the only reason I watch it is because of the animation quality.
!animation@lemm.ee is doing pretty well. We're close to a thousand subscribers. One thing I've noticed is that even on the occasional days where there are no new posts, we're consistently getting new subscribers. I'm guessing it's a testament to the staying power of certain posts and also the fact that the community is pretty high up in various animation/anime/cartoon related directories.
It's something that's made me more comfortable with going a day or even multiple days without a new post whereas in the past I would desperately search for anything remotely relevant to post and sometimes find myself a little burnt out because of that. Now, not only are there a decent number of other regular posters but I don't really freak out too much if I can't find anything compelling and relevant to post.
lol, just salt on the wound
Fellowship of the Ring
To clarify. I love the movie, but I also can't escape the fact that like 90% of it became memed like crazy.
Haha, yeah that is ridiculous. To be fair, it's said by someone who's basically a Silicon Valley CEO who's like a zealot. I don't think it's meant to be taken fully seriously.
Pantheon is awesome. It's based on Ken Liu's work who's a pretty great scifi/fantasy author.
Mars Express is a french movie from last year that's sort of like a film noir scifi. I've heard the english dub is quite good if you don't want to deal with subtitles for some reason.
Secret Level and Love, Death & Robots are anthologies of mostly scifi stories.
The Star Wars animated works are all solid if you're interested in more scifantasy.
Common Side Effects is very Scavenger's Reign-esque in art style and animation. Which makes sense considering many of the same artists worked on both. It's not really scifi in the same level though I still would recommend checking it out.
There's also a lot of really good high concept Scifi anime.
Damn that's disappointing. I thought the first movie was pretty solid
