I suppose yeah I understand what you mean. Especially in the US there is a lot of political tribalism and extreme polarisation, and honestly it has one of the most extreme cases of anticommunist propaganda where something as basic as free healthcare will be seen as "evil communism". Regarding your article, go for it. Clearly you identified some kind of issue that needs addressing and that article you want to make is your reaction to it. What I am trying to say is that the fact that you even want to make the article is already its justification :)

Also slightly unrelated but this reminds me of "radical centrism" where you basically take any extreme idea that sounds good no matter what side its from, be it communism or nazism.

I am active in a socialist organisation in the UK called "socialist appeal". We are not so large as of now but that is to be expected as society still needs time to come to conclusions in large numbers. However, we have almost doubled in the last year which is great to see! Why am I doing this? A solarpunk future is impossible under capitalism so it is important to be actively partake in overthrowing it :)

Now that the weather is getting colder I am looking for some warm thermal socks and some kind of warm jumper/sweater. Any recommendations in the UK? preferably a physical shop I can go to to try these things on.

In the UK we have 3 main socialist groups, The socialist party, Socialist workers party, and socialist appeal. I keep researching all of these and all of them have some kind of allegations or controversy within their leadership. Makes it very hard to decide which one is worth joining, if any at all?

Thoughts?

Hello all! Do you recommend any eco friendly loofah alternatives, or anything really to scrub your body in the shower with. The fact that most loofahs are made from unrecyclable plastic concerns me.

Thanks man! Your comment is very much appreciated. Hopefully the more exposure and publicity open source music has the more it will catch on

Hello everyone!

I am a tracker musician who makes 8 bit chiptunes/keygen music. I recently released an album with a psychedelic twist which is completely free to download, copyright free and open source! Check it out and lemme know what you think.

I'm hoping the idea of open source music takes off, as tinkering in other people's music is how I learnt how to make music myself.

If you want to support me financially my patreon is in the description <3

LMMS

Yeah I defo agree, so much of how I learnt to create music was from tinkering in other people's music. Do you know if there is any fedi site or forum that specifies in open source music?

Hello Everyone! I make chiptunes on trackers which are quite famous for "keygen music" associated with software piracy. My philosophy with the music I make is that all my tracks can be downloaded for free, are copyright free, and most importantly: its source files can be accessed.

The last bit is something I dont see too much of in the music communities (correct me if I am wrong). I would definitely like to see this more popularised perhaps making something akin to "FOSS Music". Under all of my tracks I put a mediafire link to .xm file. I think this would be incredibly useful to creators as there many times where I hear a song and just love a specific instrument or sample they used and would like to use it in my own music.

Thoughts?
