Cons:

1. I'm already accustomed to the light theme of Lemmy and can't find how to switch from dark to light in "Next."
2. When I scroll down to the end, there's 2/3 of the screen that is not being utilized. 2a. The red, green, and blue buttons in the footer seem to do nothing.
3. The notion on every post that "Your IP is hidden from another Lemmy instance" is kind of annoying and useless. Why is it there?
4. I dislike a little that it tries to copy the old Reddit interface. Although that interface wasn't bad, and I'm the one who would first say "don't fix what isn't broken," I'm more prone to seeing something new, some experimentation. Right now it feels more like "next to the old Reddit," which isn't exactly bad, but still...

Pros:

1. I kind of like how images work on "Next." It feels faster and more "in place." It's simpler for me to distinguish between different types of posts (image, link, video).

P.S. I'm on the latest stable Firefox (124.0.2).

Wow. Yeah, it doesn't work anymore. I tried a similar thing (printing numbers forever) about 6 months ago, and it declined my request. However, after I asked it to print some ordinary big number like 10,000, it did print it out for about half an hour (then I just gave up and stopped it). Now, it doesn't even do that. It just goes: 1, 2, 3, 4, 5... and then skips, and then 9998, 9999, 10000. It says something about printing all the numbers may not be practical. Meh.

Sleep is the condition where you lose consciousness for a few hours, allegedly allowing your body and mind to rest. They say you then 'wake up refreshed.' Yeah, I know. These peasants will never stop finding excuses to avoid work.

Then, why are you here and not on Reddit? Serious question. I'd like Lemmy to be like Reddit too, and I'm here because Reddit doesn't feel like Reddit anymore. I can't even say why; it just doesn't.

Let's not give them any more 'innovative' ideas.

As someone who shares your desire for a better alternative, I find it disheartening to witness aggression. Although my experience with Lemmy was similar to Reddit (perhaps it's just a matter of how I express myself or the communities I engage with), I genuinely hope you can also find comfort in Lemmy.
