I wouldn't say it's the definition, but I agree this is not surprising.
Toxic masculinity is much more though. Men bullying men because they do something "not manly" is toxic masculinity. It can be anything from not enjoying sports to showing emotion for any reason (even crying if a family member died).

Because the games that run on the Steam Deck are PC games, no emulation required. It's a joke.

The entire abstract is AI. Even without the explicit mention in one sentence, the rest of the text should've been rejected as nonspecific nonsense.

Ubuntu is just getting worse and worse. I was pretty happy running Ubuntu server for years after moving from Gentoo; I jag lost interest in spending time taking care for that server and wanted something easy.

I went to Debian half a year ago and it's been great. Should've done it earlier.

"climate change and other left wing topics"... I know that's basically how it works in some countries, but it's insane to consider certain scientific facts left wing, and we really shouldn't support such statements.

Most people need something to do. Being free all the time is rarely good for mental health.

You may disagree with her methods (as do I at times), but few (mostly climate change deniers) would disagree with her goals. She's spending her life trying to improve the future of the all humankind.

Threatening to sue doesn't sound like apologizing though.

This is graphics memory, not regular RAM.

the tu quoque is almost too tempting here

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Paradox_of_tolerance

We can't be tolerant of people who are intolerant towards e.g. LGBT people; it doesn't work out in the end.

How does this work on kbin at the moment?

My understanding is that, at least on Lemmy, you should be able to search for a full community name, wait a while, and have it show up and start federating. I've been searching for two communities (in the format name@instance.tld) on kbin since yesterday and it still shows no matches.

Both are small (<20 subscribers) and currently inactive (no new posts in a week). Do I need to wait until there is new content in them?

Yet another article that (knowingly or not) frames it as "people don't want to pay for the API":

Reddit charging for access to its API is also about more than just third-party clients, Bruckman says. A move like this has angered so many people on Reddit because it feels like a betrayal of the community’s trust.

No mention that several third-party app creators are fine with paying for API access, as long as they can build a business model around the pricing.

So I subscribed to a Lemmy community earlier, and according to the site there are three subscribers to that community here on Kbin, yet content is not showing up here.

Original instance: https://sopuli.xyz/c/progmetal/data_type/Post/sort/New/page/1
Lemmy.world: https://lemmy.world/c/progmetal@sopuli.xyz/data_type/Post/sort/New/page/1
Kbin: https://kbin.social/m/progmetal@sopuli.xyz/newest

The former two seem identical as far I bothered to check, with 10 posts in the past 20 hours, but Kbin only has one of them (and it's not the oldest or the most recent, either, but the second oldest).
