Isn't it that "considering other perspectives" is woke?

Also yeah, I went back to China for the first time in 5 or so years recently and the vibe in Shanghai was very different. My parents who live in China also commented on how good service had gotten recently.

That shit is so wild from a sociological standpoint.

I thought this was about to be some Kardashian/Kanye drama till I got to the other half of the headline

If they're super concerned about losing the 'freedom' to drive down the strip then they could have select hours where they open it to (some) cars like how they periodically close it for pedestrians now for things like New Years and whatnot.

Start with weekdays only, otherwise you need an employee pass. See where it goes from there

I mean, it's exactly what I would do

Their ties to America give them an incredibly high quality of life, I'd expect them to be fine with the situation for the foreseeable future.

Let's ask the Reddit admins about their views and get that in public

Maybe consider defederating from lemmy.zip?

.zip domains should not exist due to the giant security flaws they introduce, and we should offer them no legitimacy.

Keep it 1 on 1 until you have some strength in numbers. Eventually you'll at least get a few neutrals who will roll their eyes like "yeah heard all this before" when you get into it with someone.

Inspired by this post: https://hexbear.net/comment/3552493

Some of us were interested in getting our positions organized in a similar manner. Maybe we can produce some similar slide of our own with enough discussion. I know the original intent of this comm was meant to be sort of a meme repository, but I figure a more serious discussion is within the spirit of the place.

It's a good opportunity to learn from each other as well.

I think my idea is that we can have some discussions and do a little bit of "debate club" here in this post. If we get on the same page, we can create some graphics or other resources to simplify the arguments and find our way to the "knife edge" of the discussion, cutting through the crap more easily.

I've been having some issues browsing on mobile since the move, but it's a massive improvement with desktop FF.
