I think he meant to say 1 gram of protein per pound of body weight. I see this referenced a bit. Still funny to imagine eating that much though.

They list Notion, but IMO Obsidian is the better path. Lack of offline access to data is a big risk to using Notion, and what made me switch to Obsidian after being bit by internet access issues keeping me from being able to use my notes during a critical meeting. Hard no for Notion ever since.

Isn’t DDG using Bing though? What’s that paid search engine I’ve been hearing more about? Reviews seem to actually be descent.

"With everyone having an opinion about who belongs in the conversation about the greatest players in NBA history, finding an unbiased take is difficult. Enter win shares. Win shares is a complex formula that attempts to take factors such as scoring, rebounding, passing, blocks, efficiency, and overall team success and quantify them into one easy-to-understand stat: wins.

For instance, each player on a 60-win team will receive a share of credit under win shares, while the best player obviously receives the most. That rewards players who drive winning and not so much for the ones that don’t. It also rewards longevity, as we’ll soon see."

I agree with this. Spend a couple bucks to get quotes from engineers and contractors. The “worth it” part will be answered by their quotes, which you set along side comps for houses that are similar to yours with the added space, and what that space allows you to do that you couldn’t do otherwise.

You just took me back to the Gangster Capitalism podcast about Liberty University. Mind blowing stuff there, and not the good kind.

My kids have watched anime for years, but I recently learned that their favorite is Scout Regiment. I’ve never followed any of this before and I’m trying to figure out the best way I can try and learn more (search results are overwhelming!) so I can randomly drop some comments that catch them by surprise.

Can anyone give a noob some pointers?

edit: So much love here. Thanks for all the feedback. I’m diving in… wish me luck.

Birthday boy got a descent upgrade for his PC. Moved from a Ryzen 3 3200G to a R7 5800x. Ditched the onboard video and installed an 3060Ti. He also took the reigns and did the hardware swap entirely on his own.

Immich is rapidly growing into the closest solution for replacing google photos. It’s not fully there yet, but there is very active development going on and it’s advancing quickly.

Weather stations (lemmy.world)

Anyone have hands on experience with a reputable weather station? I’ve used Ambient Weather hardware in the past but wonder if there’s something similar that would be available in HomeKit.

Wondering if anyone has experience with this kit, I'm not finding much online so far. We've been looking at lift kits for a little while now and have heard about concerns with the heavier engine weight for diesels and how some kits may not be accounting for that. Wondering if the Mopar offering would be good enough. This is our daily and we don't do anything crazy, but would like to get a little more clearance.

With all the drama on reddit and the potential exodus, I've spun up this community as a new home to share our off-roading escapades and anything related to Jeeps.

I have NEVER mod'd a sub or community before but have spent a lot of time on them. If anyone would like to help mod this community I would be extremely grateful. Chime in below and I'll reach out.
