The announcement of the game left an extremely bad impression too, because the game was $60 or $70 but didn't include all the content, there were three other tiers or "editions" you could buy, the last option being the $8 subscription service that had a shiny blue border around it and included all the content.

imagine not being a gigachad bringing your nintendo 3ds, that actually has a physical switch to disable wireless communication and can record videos and take pictures ~~that totally don't look like they're from 2011~~

Bazzite is my first true experience with an immutable distro, and wow, what a magical moment it was.

I've been eyeing on fedora 40's release for some time now because it fixes all the Wayland problems for Nvidia cards. One night my grandma needed some help, so I walked away from my PC, it automatically suspended, came back 30 or so minutes later, and when I logged in I was just automatically on KDE 6 with fedora 40, didn't even reboot.

This is truly the year of the Linux desktop.

I could argue the same thing about Windows 11.

Can you imagine an average person going into best buy and buying a laptop, maybe in S mode, forced to make a Microsoft account and wait 5-8 minutes updating their machine before they can use it, just for Microsoft edge to pop up asking them to change their accent color. Or downloading a program online and a big old popup comes up saying "Available in the Microsoft Store!"

I personally argue Linux Mint is awesome and what's best for most people. my grandma (81) didnt want to switch to 10 or 11 after Windows 7 was going to be EOL, she tried mint and she absolutely loved it.

not sure why this is getting downvoted, this has happened before and even happens on Apple devices where they just re-enable privacy settings you disabled or whatever else the fuck they want like, idk, bluetooth.

also Microsoft "may" block you from updating your system if its unable to reinstall edge like holy shite

Note for Windows users who uninstalled system apps using previous version If you used privacy.sexy (v0.12.6 or v0.12.7) to delete system apps, please follow these steps to avoid potential issues with Windows Updates: Open Command Prompt (Start Menu ➜ type "cmd" ➜ select "Command Prompt"). Copy and paste the following command: PowerShell -ExecutionPolicy Unrestricted -Command "Remove-Item -Path 'HKLM:\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Appx\AppxAllUserStore\EndOfLife*' -Force -Verbose" Press Enter. This action ensures that there are no side effects related to Windows Updates, since Microsoft may block updates if it is unable to reinstall Edge.
