Please don't delete and recreate if you can. Keeping the history of points is useful, if you delete a point you will delete its history. Wiki article with more details: https://wiki.openstreetmap.org/wiki/Keep_the_history

You don't have to self host it if you scroll down there is a list of public instances: https://rss-bridge.github.io/rss-bridge/General/Public_Hosts.html

Reason to self host, some websites don't like rss bridge because it's a kind of adblock from their point of view, and they actively block the ip addresses of these instances. If you selfhost it, you can use these sites, because a single user instance won't generate as much traffic than 1000 users, so they won't notice your instance

The RSS feed for websites missing it

Thats it. First sentence on link. Generates an rss feed from a youtube channel or from a soundcloud user, etc

I love this mix much more than the original version.

The original has a very unique video, directed by Chris Cunningham. The video was made in 2000, so it's stop motion and green screen with a lot of post CGI. Full CGI quality wasn't at that level yet: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cbGSy6PKOb0

I don't know what needs to be discussed. Everyone owns their code, every project has some kind of hierarchy. Chromium is a project started by google, so Alphabet Inc. has a final word in any decisions. Similarly Linus Torvalds has a final say in Linux kernel development, and Lennart Poettering in systemd. That's how it always worked, and I think it's good enough.

What you can do is, you can hard fork a project, than you can have a final say there. This is actually how chromium's engine started: its Blink engine is the fork of Apple's webkit engine which is again a fork of Kde's khtml engine.

Ungoogled chromium is not a hard fork it's just a list of patches: https://github.com/ungoogled-software/ungoogled-chromium They can override google's decisions this way, but the more thing they patch the more thing they have to maintain, more work, and more things can break with each update. Afaik it's similar how all other chromium based browsers work.

Everyone said this for years now. If you care about the freedom of internet (caring about your privacy is secondary) you shouldn't use chromium based browsers. Stop using it now.

This comes from hangout_services/thunk.js

I searched for hangout in the vanadium repo, no result, so it's not patched there either: https://github.com/GrapheneOS/Vanadium

Yes, e.g. rpi3b+ has gigabit ethernet, but it's only 300Mbit, because it's connected via usb2 internally. Something similar can be the culprit here as well.

No. It means they get the data from somewhere else, maybe from some carsharing app, or from some government db from car counting thingies mounted on traffic lights, etc. There are other sources to get traffic data ftom, but usually following users is more convenient and reliable

They wont tell us where they get it from, they only say it's not generated via this app. They are followimg someone, but not me.

[-] infeeeee@lemm.ee 24 points 5 days ago

No.

The only OpenStreetMap based navigation app with live traffic data is Magic Earth. It's not foss, but gratis.

They get the traffic data from some third party, not by following their users like gmaps. That is the reason live traffic is only available in just some countries: https://www.magicearth.com/feature-availablity/#hd_traffic

For those who don't remember the original of this was an ancient meme:

https://images1.memedroid.com/images/UPLOADED6/5002dd114f5cd.jpeg

Edit:

Just how old this meme is: OSX 10.9 mavericks was the first free mac update, it was released in 2013. The meme should be created before that. Iirc Windows 7 was the first win with forced and annoying updates, it was released in 2009. So this meme should be from that era, 11-15 years old.

Edit2:

I found the original post, my calculations were correct, this is from 2011: https://www.stickycomics.com/computer-update/

Very useful video. I miss that you don't list the Chromium browsers. A lot of people, the target audience of this video don't know that edge, opera, vivaldi, brave are all affected some way.

It's for extinguishing oil well fires, owned and developed by MOL, the Hungarian oil conglomerate. It was used in Kuwait after the Kuwait-Iraq war, here is a video of it in action: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uyGDxglTVgA

It's still in use and maintained, the base was replaced with newer tank recently, as it was hard to find replacement parts for such an old model.

Video from some years ago, timestamped, there is a lot of Hungarian narration before that point: https://youtu.be/YYF8YQ7pLng?feature=shared&t=494

Good article in English about this beast, with a lot more images: https://www.autoevolution.com/news/a-firefighter-s-dream-meet-big-wind-a-tank-with-jet-engines-that-s-a-fire-truck-185011.html#

  • Be careful, this is a very disturbing movie
  • Make sure you watch the uncut version, some important scenes were cut from the first US release
  • Steve Buscemi named this film one of his favorite, this movie inspired Quentin Tarantino to write Natural Born Killers. More about its legacy on wiki

The uncut version is on Youtube: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hXjQCjNZeME

I use psv:lanes, but there are no real bus lanes here, it's called buslane, but law says taxis can also use it.

MR: https://gitlab.archlinux.org/archlinux/packaging/packages/pacman/-/merge_requests/1

An issue: https://gitlab.archlinux.org/pacman/pacman/-/issues/91

To find your already installed debug packages:

pacman -Q | grep -e '-debug '

This debug packages usually huge, I noticed this accidentally, and I haven't found a news about this on archlinux.org

To solve this add a ! before debug on line 97 in /etc/makepkg.conf
