Of course. The UK is so fucked. You need to start producing something of value in this country, where is all this new money supposed to come from? You can't keep cutting social spending indefinitely. Why not embrace the reality of a rapidly worsening climate and start producing technology for renewable energy here? It could create so many jobs. The UK is still an innovation powerhouse. If life keeps getting worse though, educated people will not only stop coming here but start to leave. Then there will be nothing left here

Das ist halt das Ergebnis konservativer Politik, die nur an Konzerngewinnen interessiert ist. Die Begründung ist dann immer "Arbeitsplätze", obwohl die Löhne mit den steigenden Lebenshaltungskosten in keinster Weise mithalten, oder "Investitionen in Deutschland", die aber nicht passieren. Für dieses Ziel wird soziale Unterstützung zusammengestrichen, wo es nur geht (und auch, wo es eigentlich nicht geht). In den letzten Jahren der Regierungszeit hat die Union ihre Korruption auch nicht mehr großartig zu verstecken versucht. Und trotzdem steigen die Umfragewerte schon wieder. Es ist zum Verzweifeln
