I’m sure they have tried, I’m also sure she’s probably pretty careful about her day to day life knowing the amount of potential enemies she has

It was a railroad town at the start, so really just a “once we get through this desert we’ve made it to California.” And after that it was the Boulder Dam worker town, which is where all the casinos came from

Indecisiveness = not assassinating the opponent?

America is doomed. Now both sides are calling for their chosen king to execute the other king. The experiment is over, hyper capitalism disguised as theology won. I want to vote for my chosen president in this election. This thread is telling me I should support my king executing the other king. Even if he gives up that power right after said execution, the president has made a precedent that the “checks and balances” are broken.

My prediction is that if an execution / forceful power grab is to happen, China will immediately invade the Phillipines and Taiwan, seeing the instability of the US, possibly Japan right after, since our new king will be too busy with the civil war or dismantling the government.

After that NATO and the EU will remove the US from any seat we have during said civil war, as we are no longer a democratic state.

The US arms companies will move to supplying the civil war in addition to just pumping Israel full of guns, maybe Russia too since it’s profitable and what even is regulation at this point.

By the time the US does stabilize, we’re a corporatocracy, as the only things left with real buying power are our tech companies and arms manufacturers, which at this point have their own mercenary security to defend against potential profit loss or have moved to other nations (Apple’s risk management division absolutely has these papers and plans drawn up seeing the political climate)

Canada will absolutely close its borders, and probably will be a hotbed of attempted immigration, ironically their right wing leaning government fighting the effects of our right wing government.

But yeah, we should yell at our king to assassinate the other potential king, instead of organizing, donating, campaigning and voting

But props to the Columbia U staff for walking out. In other universities this was just par for the course, and the faculty stayed put as students were arrested

What’s wild to me is

Although it may take several months, the engineers say they can find a workaround to run the FDS without the fried chip — restoring the spacecraft's messaging output and enabling it to continue to send readable information from outside our solar system.

Like there is such limited hardware on that thing, and we communicate with it in such low bandwidth signals, it’s such a testament to the engineers behind the project that it can still be customized 46 years later, being outside the solar system, to overcome failing hardware

Step 1: PR comment
Step 2: Actual thing the company does

It's the standard corporate playbook

After the Guardian queried the process, the DfE said it would make an exception and decouple McGrath’s name from the deceased’s so that she would not be contacted about it again.

“We’re not gonna stop doing this to anyone else, just this one woman who went to the news.”

Andrew received a picture taken from inside a police car, parked near two containers sitting on a railcar. "It's definitely in one of those containers," the officer said in a series of text messages viewed by CBC News. But the York officer said they didn't "have the authority to open the containers." Instead, they directed Andrew to the railway's private police service.

Andrew said CPKC police didn't respond to the scene that night and the train carrying his truck took off soon after. "That's the pinnacle of the frustration," Andrew told CBC, "knowing that it's still here, but it's about to disappear."

CPKC spokesperson Terry Cunha declined to discuss the incident, but said in a statement the railway "works with federal, provincial and local law enforcement agencies executing a number of strategies to identify and recover stolen vehicles."

He’s from Mississippi? Did he drive 12 hours just to go break the display?

It is worth mentioning that changes you made to the IntegratedServicesRegionPolicySet.json file won't have effect in stable versions of Windows 10 and Windows 11. Microsoft has to roll out this new capability to the stable branch in March 2024.

It’s annoying that this is all the way at the bottom of the article. Good to know I can do all this, glad I didn’t attempt to change any of this now, because it’s pointless until these updates hit stable

Don’t worry he quoted the Bible

the principal had referred to Bible scripture on several occasions and informed her he was 'well within his right' to enact the discipline he chose

Ah yes, I forgot that Jesus came down to earth and said “don’t enjoy yourself women, your only purpose is just to have children under our neofascist theocratic regime”
