fun /s

I mean, as a nerd with no interest in prom, it wasn't all bad. My hs has us still do graduation almost as normal (masks and spacing, ofc), with the only major difference being that it was split across multiple days so we could fit everyone on the front lawn.

The fact that they had to do the speeches six times was the only reason I was slightly glad to have missed out on being valedictorian/salutorian

huh

That... Actually seems like not that bad of an idea (at least for forum/reddit/lemmy bots)

Well, if you ignore the infeasibility aspect of getting the humans to cooperate and stuff

As someone who switched from my beloved huawei p30 to a xiaomi 12, I regret my choice so much. Sure, huawei isn't very open with rooting and bootloaders etc either, but installing a goddamn apk app didn't take a whole extra minute becuase xiaomi wants me to be absolutely sure that I trust the maker and locks me out of clicking 'I'm sure' for 10s. Nor did it constantly try to turn off developer mode. Or turn off my ui customizations that run in the bg. Grrr

Not sure of what brand I'm gonna try next, might try the now independent Honor, or maybe give up and go with samsung, but my next phone will definitely not be a xiaomi

Am I going crazy or something? Gimp loads in under 5 seconds on windows for me, and that's with an absurd amount of crap (unity, blender, a vm, and 400+ browser tabs across 5 browsers) running in the background.

As a longtime infinity user, I can't wait to give it a spin!

As someone who has 6 lemmy apps installed, and constantly cycling between them, I'd say for now connect and liftoff are the best although each has issues that the other migitates. I'd say you won't go wrong with either option, with it mostly being personal preference.

As a former user of infinity for reddit connect feels a bit closer layout to what I was used to, but liftoff seems to have a slightly better ui.

There was a time quora was genuinely interesting/useful as an a2a site for all your 'expert opinion' questions. Now it's just another social media
