Because society as a whole has to tackle this. What do you think the red fuckers would do? They'd start shipping bussess of homeless people into blue states.

There needs to be a federal incentive structure. Don't want to take care of your homeless? No problem, no tax dollars for you, we're sending it to the blue states that are doing something.

Of course this would have to pass Congress and the red fuckers will never allow that to happen.

Which is especially fucked up considering how large the US / Canada is and how much space there is.

Politicans are artificially keeping supply low which fucks all the young people, but appeases the Boomers.

Google NEEDS to be broken up badly. They are essentially a monopoly in the online space, from chrome to search to maps to youtube.

Every service is abusing the power of the others to grow their market share and kill competition.

I used to love Google. They pushed the web and tech in the right direction.

But somewhere along the way they've been taken over by marketing cunts that only looked at the bottom line and didn't care how evil or anti consumer they became.

Mom and dad aren't going to switch themselves, remove chrome for them as the default install Firefox and tell them to use that unless something absolutely refuses to work. Pick your battles.

Good, smart IT would have installed ublock and locked that shit down. Saves bandwidth and protects the kids.

But you're probably right, most IT departments are useless.

IMO the only time homeschooling makes sense is if your mom is a teacher that became disabled or something and it was more practical to teach you at home.

Otherwise it's just a huge waste of time and missed opportunity to make friends and learn social interactions
