Yeah it's so damn lazy, like they introduce these things like they're in a vaccum, situationally just to have a cool scene and toss any kind of continuity aside

I should go back and read that again, I remember loving it so much. Also remember when Disney announced that the extended universe would be discarded to make room for new cannon and how much my heart sank hearing it.

Rogue One was really close to what I want the franchise to be. Having a universe with the force users instead of about the force users is so much more interesting.

I have always wished for a serious grown up version of Star Wars. Like not being afraid to sever limbs like they used to, or worrying about your scoundrels being too scoundrel-y. Also really taking an inventory of everything and seriously thinking about how it would interact.

Like to your point - no need to toss out the more magical force elements but maybe just tone it down a bit and ground them in reality a little better? Because it's absolutely ridiculous how they've become these invincible laser blocking demigods. They should be afraid to deploy, just like anyone, if there's going to be shooting. It's just lazy writing most of the time and it would be wonderful to see what a skilled hand could actually do with it all.

We don't need to split hairs - 'sci-fi fantasy' or 'science fantasy' is a real genre and common enough term.

Yep, Colorado is probably as geographically mid-west as it gets and you'd get resistance from almost anyone living there if you insinuated they were Midwestern.

Plus, hasn't he pretty well decimated the GOP ranks? Any worthy competitor has been exiled or humiliated or both leaving the ranks filled with only sniveling sycophants and uncharismatic bigots.

My partner hates them so I always try to get them to a safe location as soon as I see one.

It's not unpopular, it's just stupid.

Decades indeed - this coalition of the ignorant and racist and hateful and afraid doesn't happen overnight. They've been pulling these people together for a long time - I mean Willie Horton was like in the 80's and even that wasn't the beginning.

This is true, they describe themselves as descriptive rather than prescriptive: https://www.merriam-webster.com/grammar/descriptive-vs-prescriptive-defining-lexicography

Sort of in the way that the Mazda Miata is well known in the right circles for being such an affordable blast to drive, are there models of electric cars that are universally lauded? I'm specifically asking for what's fun to drive like the Miata but am curious abuout fun to own as well as best all rounder.

I don't have a commute so it would 100% be for outings and fun drives.

Some of the leaves on my plant are getting these dry tips with sort of yellowish spots. What causes this?

Bernie is 100% right now, we can't count on the Dems in DC. The working class is going to have to fight this one.

It'll require a lengthy grassroots effort from the working class any its allies. At the moment, anything you can think to do is the right thing to do until a proper movement coalesces. Get out and try things. And bring your friends along for the effort. That's how movements like this get going.

Here it is.

We're proud of it and would encourage everyone to do something! If you can't do canvasing or phone banking use your creativity to reach people in some other way.

Feel free to share it if it speaks to you. And please vote if you haven't already!
