Yeah like what the fuck? Every time I drive on a highway I encounter at least one potential life-ending moment, where if I hit the breaks one second too late I'll die. This is absolutely a trillion times worse than the slim chance of getting a subway car lit on fire lol

Just found out about this guy on YouTube named Nuxttux because I've been trying to make some social media videos.

Kdenlive is a completely different beast than the one that I remember using a couple of years ago. It has so much functionality in it, like all the "TikTok effects", proxy clips, rendering previews, visualizing effect curves between keyframes... like damn. This is actually legit software now for my basic needs.

The thing is, it seems like these were all added in the past 2 years, because I had 23.x installed through the Debian repo and I upgraded through Flatpak to 24.12 and it seems to have added all of these?

Anyway holy shit. Go give these guys some money. This is game changing

I've been using gptel for a couple of days and it is absolutely bonkers. It is Magit-level of thought out. However I enjoyed relying less on the transient menu, and rather focus on writing my own wrapper functions via gptel-request.

Honestly I've been kind of an AI skeptic until very recently, and gptel in addition to this article were what pushed me over.

Great article.

Israeli liberals and Western diplomats tend to believe there are two paths forward: a binational, single state, or the two-state solution.

I fucking wish Israeli liberals would be in for a binational state. This is an extremely fringe opinion among Jews. The secular liberals generally prefer a two-state solution or just keeping the status quo (and just "managing it better"™️).

That was quite light in substance. Since it's titled a "success story" I was hoping to find a deeper dive into challenges they faced - especially with Alpine, which isn't that trivial to use at scale, not even mentioning with Junior developers.

This article seems like writing for the sake of writing, or rather padding the blog page on your personal site

Yeah actually writing Wordpress themes was easier than I thought. But I wrote them for the old editor, not Gutenberg – I opted for ClassicPress instead which was quite a banger in the effort-to-outcome equation
