We've had a rather fucky winter on the west side so far, admittedly.

Enoki mushrooms have an otherworldly allure to them.

They did some things right over there. Not much, but some.

Persistent doesn't hurt! My idea is losing your work is always more painful than having to see the old work. Just adding a "reset filters" button should accomplish an easy way to get it back to how we wanted it.

Not sure what parameters come with the api but I'm just a fiend for more toggles hehe.

Thrilled with the direction it's going! More granular ways to filter results are always appreciated.

Perhaps to take it a bit further for the future, adding more filters to the results after you pick the main category. Drop downs and Boolean options to further narrow down into niche subjects without scrolling indefinitely.

As long as you don't need CAD levels of precision, Blender is fine. I still need to use FreeCAD when making enclosures and assemblies but Blender works well if it's more of a decorative piece. I think they are making an actual CAD mode soon so this might be outdated!

Fuck yeah, soldering is incredibly empowering. Getting into it is crazy cheap compared to many other hobbies.

Both look weird to me 😞

They just kept relentlessly getting worse for years. I'm sure it was all roses for lifetime members but fuck that noise. I'm done working with software like it's a mob boss.

Hi guys, I couldn't think of a more qualified community for this question.

My trustworthy T470s' USB C port (front right) is failing - only connecting to a charging cable when at a particular angle.

Is there an effective way to swap out that peripheral? I have replaced so many things in it and would not mind one more to keep her alive :)

Currently running via dock and regular charging port but that doesn't fit my lifestyle the same.

New to me

My wife and I go through about 4lbs a month using mainly Chemex and Areopress. Used to get (decent) crummy coffee at Aldi and Grocery Outlet, occasionally splurging for local roasts at the coffee shops. Still, I calculate that's about $35 or so a month on beans, Chemex filters should probably be calculated with how pricey they can be - napkin maths say $11 roughly for a months supply.

$46USD ain't bad compared to my other vices 😪

Curious to hear if I'm around the average spender or how it tracks! Maybe you have some tips on cheap but amazing coffee? I wouldn't know unless I asked y'all
