“Imagine feeling the need to use leftist talking points and a literal MSNBC link to lie about your political rival and gaslight voters on one of the most important issues of the century. Pathetic and nauseating.”

DeSantis Refuses to Lose

“People want to win, and the longer they have to be reminded about the tiresome aspects of the Trump Show, the more likely they are to look for an alternative. And there is none but Ron DeSantis.”

People should know from his first term that what he says he will do does not correlate closely with what he will actually do.

Your logic lesson for today:
The genetic fallacy is the act of rejecting or accepting an argument on the basis of its origin rather than its content. Under the genetic fallacy, we judge a claim by paying too much attention to its source or history, even though this criticism is irrelevant to the truth of the claim.
If you understand the genetic fallacy you should realize that calling the originator of the argument a name is insufficient to refute the argument.

Donald Trump’s 2020 election loss was an inside job

There are numerous bombshells in the congressional testimony of two IRS whistleblowers, but the most significant is that members of Trump’s Department of Justice helped to tip the 2020 election to his opponent by slow-walking the investigation into Hunter Biden.

'The Focus Will Once Again Be More on Trump than Biden' | National Review
https://www.nationalreview.com/corner/the-focus-will-once-again-be-more-on-trump-than-biden/
If the GOP nominates anyone besides Donald Trump — DeSantis, Scott, Haley, Pence, Christie — the race will be a referendum on President Biden. And a majority of the electorate has deep, perhaps irreversible concerns about Biden.
If the GOP nominates Trump, the race will be a referendum on Trump, instead of Biden. And yet, judging from the rest of the poll, at minimum half of the Republican Party is eager to make the 2024 general election yet another referendum on Trump.

You cannot save a political party that does not want to be saved.

Audio Of Trump Conversation About Secret Iran Attack Plan Contradicts His Denial
https://legalinsurrection.com/2023/06/audio-of-trump-conversation-about-secret-iran-attack-plan-contradicts-his-denial/
The audio makes clear that Trump had a specific document in his hand prepared by the Defense Department that was still secret and had not been declassified by him, contrary to his denial in an Bret Baier interview that he just had a stack of news clippings.

Listen for yourself. CNN obtained the recording:

“The Trump audio:

"See as president I could have declassified it. Now I can't, you know, but this is still a secret."

"Now we have a problem," a staffer responds.”

Third party apps can change the interface/appearance of Mastodon, so what advantages do Misskey/Clackey have over Mastodon?

I've replaced tuna salad with salmon salad in an effort to reduce my mercury consumption.

I've been eating sprouts, e.g. fenugreek, radish, broccoli, and clover, for about 2 years. I usually eat the sprouts with hummus I make from sprouted, chickpeas, lentils, and/or mung beans. It's a good way to get fiber in your diet without the sugar.
