I don't have an answer about online methods... I went through the phase of how to meet people as well, and eventually decided to join / try out some group activities. I did some rookie dragon boating, table tennis, stand up paddle, and eventually met my forever spouse as she taught me scuba diving. PS: other than the scuba diving, those were all free activities for beginners. Good luck

Local is not geographically local. It means all communities on the lemmy.world instance. What you can do is block the Evanston community, or, subscribe to the communities you care about then browse by Subscribed instead of Local. Unfortunately some communities dump tens of posts at once and end up looking spammy.

I see many guides online which start with a new plant. This is what mine looks like and it's been here for years, so I'm not sure if i can guide it into a tree anymore. If so, i guess now that it started budding would be a good time to trim everything but the leader?
How do i remove these anchors? Is there maybe a way to push them further in so i can just add filler on top?
