Arrogant, posturing douchebags that don't understand the technology they're involved in and are unwilling to learn. Any "work" that's done is by actual tech workers or tools creates by them.

The tech bro is only in it for money and "prestige"

One day you'll wake up and realize people born on the year you graduated school can legally vote, drink, etc. A short time later those kids have kids of their own ... and you are ( or are old enough to be ) a grandparent.

The worst part is you'll still mentally feel like you're not much older than your late 20s or 30s.

You can’t get a manual gearbox here any more.

Huh, let's see why

Another factor contributing to the discontinuation of manual transmissions is the increasing emphasis on safety features and the integration of advanced driver-assist technologies.

Ew.

"prepper" vs "Prepper" with a capital "P".

The first learns and practices actual useful skills -- gardening, food preservation, repairing their own things, etc. The later are dorks buying a ton of unnecessary shit shilled by right-wing influencers cosplaying as "entirely self-sufficient".

That was the original meaning, but it's also been co-opted by assholes as an "argument" against providing for people's basic needs.

Buy why is it human? I'm just happy they fixed this oversight in the (vastly superior) 2001 remake with the Lincoln Memorial.

Technology has never been the problem: there's nothing wrong with genetic engineering, AI, etc. They can (and have) been used for good.

The problem has always been the "greed is good" sociopaths using it for evil.

I had zero with uBlock -- do you have the plugin disabled for that site?

Noodles are composed mostly of starches and heat causes gelatinization: which gives noodles their texture, taste, and holds them together. It also kills off any pathogens, which is a good things since it's fairly common for raw flour to be contaminated with E. coli and Salmonella.

Cold water causes them to revert back to wet flour.

Yeah! Like meme stocks or beanie babies.

How many of your Amazon purchases are things you actually need?

I deleted my Amazon account entirely -- my kindle is a paperweight now. It sucked, but between Amazon and all the other retailers I refuse to do business with my impulse buying has dropped to near zero. Any non essential want has an added barrier to buying it now -- and that's not a bad thing.

Yes: some of the things I buy are a bit more expensive now, but I'm actually spending less overall.

I don't get why people get upset at frequently expiring passwords. It's not hard: just write it on a postit note and stick it on your monitor.
