Stories like this are a nice reminder that there are still things left to be discovered in this world.

Hopefully she will make a full recovery and be able to be released back into the wild. There are some owls at my local nature center that are now permanent residents due to their injuries not healing properly to survive without human intervention. The center calls the owls (and other such animals) their “wildlife ambassadors” and show them in informational talks/ educational field trips.

I was really hoping for an all Tyto final. I knew it was a long shot for Sooty to make it that far, but I was shocked when Barn Owl lost. 😢

There was this recipe my mom got from a magazine like Country Living or Women’s Day or something called “Garden Skillet”. It was shell noodles with sautéed onions, zucchini, stewed tomatoes, and Campbell’s cheese soup. I hated it. I’d try to scrape the cheese stuff off the zucchini and eat that and as few noodles as possible. I have never tried to recreate it. 🤢

The Medieval Blacksmith set was the one I was going to suggest! That is a good choice. Also, they are retiring it at the end of the year, so if you want it, get it soon.
