I was told asking the question “what else where they supposed to do?” as posed by Finkelstein shows that my entire body of thought is rotten to the core.

It seems to be the new talking point “reevaluate your values”. Genocide is good sometimes when you’re really upset

I don’t think people like Lindsey graham are actually making decisions. He says these things and he may actually believe them too but the people actually scheming and planning are more aware of reality. I think the intelligence agencies are more informed than they let on and that intelligence doesn’t always go to congress.

I think the military command knows the situation with Ukraine as does the cia, nsa, and all the rest. I don’t think they would arrive at the conclusion that Americans are willing to sacrifice isreal to weaken Iran or whoever like they are for Ukraine.

My understanding of the proxy wars is it is not about money for the mic, they already have all the money, it’s more about keeping the rest of the world at conflict so our productionless economy can compete and the dollar remain relevant.

Saudi Arabia and Iran entering into economic partnership is bad news and weve been trying to deepen isreal/sa relationship https://www.nytimes.com/2023/10/08/us/politics/saudi-arabia-israel-palestinians-hamas.html.

I think this is less likely to happen now that Iran is supporting Hamas and Saudi Arabia is not inclined break that agreement with Iran and China for the sake of America. It would have been better if this hadn’t happened until after the isreal-Saudi Arabia agreements could be made which would put SA and Iran in conflict again.

It just points to good timing for Hamas.

I think I give the powers that be a bit more credit than that. If you can tell this strategy is not based in reality, they probably understand that too to some extent. Why start another proxy war when you are barely keeping up in the first one. Why not do this in 2018 instead of that nonviolent march when america still had troops in Afghanistan?

I think this is not good timing for the west so I’m more inclined to attribute it to Hamas and Hezbola.

I could be wrong though. Perhaps they understand things so well and are so cynical that they are trying to drum up support more war time manufacturing and Americans like isreal more than Ukraine.

I guess time will tell how it ends up unfolding.

I am beginning to think the opposite. It was hamas’ decision to move, not america or isreal’s. Maybe they and their regional Allies recognized how taxing the Ukraine war has been on americas ability to provide support elsewhere. Not to mention the possibility that those 70% of munitions that never made it to the front lines in Ukraine ended up in Lebanon and gaza.

America is very busy and cannot fight everywhere.

You are too confident in your ability to recognize propaganda… you don’t get to choose what you believe anymore than anyone else.

https://hmachine1949.substack.com/p/conspiracy-as-proletarian-truth

Most people continue to speak a certain way about President Kennedy, Oklahoma, 9/11, COVID-19, Election 2020, or vaccines not because evidence convinces them one way or the other, but because their class position skews their understanding of what evidence and truth are.

For a middle-class rewarded with minor gains and token recognition within a class hierarchy, the truth necessarily emanates from those who control the productive forces of society. Those who buy into these fake narratives do not themselves choose to cheer on these forces; they hardly know these forces exist at all. Instead, they too believe they earned their identity by wresting their thoughts from the void via their own individual choice and willed acts of transcendence, as much as Kant or any other short-sighted academic scholar

Probably shouldn’t have music festivals next to the concentration camps
