I hope you try it again someday! It really is a once in a lifetime experience, so if you aren't enjoying it it's a good idea to put it down and come back with a fresh start later. I would hate for someone's only experience with this game to be one of frustration and forcing yourself to play something because everyone says it's good.

Honestly I don't think nixos is harder than other advanced distros, its just very different. For instance I've used nixos for a while now but I've never been able to get a working arch install, even following the guide. I think in a lot of ways nixos is easier because to fix a problem you don't have to go digging through config files and esoteric shell commands, you usually just have to modify your config and rebuild. The biggest problem is that nix documentation is terrible. I would recommend trying it out in a low stakes environment like a vm using the graphical installer, then just poking around the config file and figuring out what stuff does. Also, as a replacement for good documentation there are some good guides online. I've been enjoying guides by tonybtw.com, his videos as well as vimjoyer and no boilerplate on youtube are great

Outer Wilds. Greatest game of all time. It's a bit more puzzle and story focused than most of these, but you have portal and GRIS and I would recommend Outer Wilds to pretty much anyone.

Cant count how many times I've gotten frustrated with nixos, switched to a trendy new distro, started missing nixos, and switched back in a week with my config bringing me right back

Lol I'm exactly the same I saw early footage of satisfactory and bought it and now I regret it because I have it on epic instead of steam. All of my other games on epic are the free giveaways. Pro tip you can use heroic launcher instead of epic to play your free games so you don't have to start their god awful launcher!

If you don't like sex work then that's totally fine, don't do sex work, but there's a large market for it and plenty of people willing to fulfil that demand. Even if you don't like it, it's important to destigmatize it to make the lives of sex workers safer through legal protection, health care, etc. As far as sex work goes, onlyfans can be much better than the traditional porn industry because channels can be run independently, which reduces the risk of exploitation and human trafficking.

Sex work should be completely consentual and safe, and destigmatization and legal protections can help make that happen.

Thanks for the suggestion! I didn't even know the framework 12 came out yet, it seems great but I'm not sure if the repairability is worth it for its price/performance and the fact that it would be hard to get one used. The yoga 9i does have thunderbolt and there are some pretty good deals for it on Ebay, I might get a framework later if I can find one used but I doubt I can this close to when it released.

Hi, I'm looking for a good laptop to run linux that has a touchscreen with a stylus to take math notes(ik I should be using latex or typst but im too lazy) and good battery life, preferably one that folds into tablet mode to make taking notes easier.

I'm not planning on doing any gaming or video editing on it, just web/notes/programming and potentially a windows VM for software that doesn't work on linux. I also want to try getting into some ricing :). I've been looking at the lenovo yoga 9i, it seems to be pretty good and I found some people that had good linux experiences with it. One thing that would be nice is an hdmi port which the yoga doesn't have as my job involves a lot of AV stuff, but I can just get an adapter.

Any other suggestions? I can probably spend like 1000$ on it but obviously less is better, I'll probably get it used/refurbished from ebay.
