China, India, The Americas, Australia, many parts of Africa? Life was good there.

Even Europe was not that bad. If you had many more free days, work that was meaningful and unprocessed food, how bad would it be to die earlier? In total, they still had more days of life for themselves.

In Sweden you can buy porn but you are not allowed to buy life streams and tell actors what to do to prevent abuse of power imbalances.

Also gibt es Klientelpolitik.

It aims to be as privacy preserving as cash for the buyer while not allowing the seller to evade taxes.

So I could buy a VPN with it and then order some Swedish porn (edit: life streams), and no authority would be able to track me down?

Not getting the brightest students from all over the world is such a strategic blunder that it cannot be accepted by the establishment. Is ChatGPT so good that they don't care anymore?

That paragraph was not meant to be in support of human trafficing.

Let me add that there is a huge incentive to keep Mexico and the rest of the Americas in a state of disarray. Individual success stories don't outweight the overall cruelty of the current arrangement.

How do you recognize a slave? There is no need for chains to make people work against their will.

Whoever dreads monday morning doesn't have to be worried about slavery anymore.

Have you tried moving? The chains are already there.

Can they take it away now if a newspaper does not accept foreign donations?

This should be a non issue. News sources should be fully financed by their audience in every country to avoid any conflict of interest. Advertising, foreign investment, donations, even being a regular business, it all comes with a conflict of interest.

The problem is that poor people cannot afford their own news sources but they need it to know which party improves their lives. For a fair democracy, there needs to be a way to finance news sources independent of the income of their audience.

The simple solution does not work. Having subsidies that depend on number of views will only lead to a race to the bottom of clickbait content.
