This might work as a scam, but I'm not sure it's the scheme referred to in the show. Dennis' lines about how they "always just took the difference from [Dee's] purse" also implies she's stealing from the bar.

I think the scheme might work more like this:

Two tables have a similar order

Dee gives one table their bill and they pay in cash

She pockets the cash (and the tip)

She delivers the same check to the second table

The second table pays and she puts that amount in the till (and keeps the tip)

This scheme would not work if the till has inventory tracking, but given the gang's poor understanding of technology and finances, such as Mac's "Irish honor system" being considered, and every character drinking beer from the bar's inventory without paying for it it, they clearly have no inventory tracking system

Yes, the game supports split screen local co-op on consoles and even on PC.

You can play through the first 2/3rds of the game in split screen with no trouble. However, in my experience it gets unstable in act 3 on Xbox Series X (probably also on PS5). Presumably it is something to do with the limited memory on consoles, so if your PC has great specs it should work there.

They are planning an update due next month which is supposed to address the crashing, but it remains to be seen.

I think currently the best experience on consoles is to have two copies of the game on separate consoles.

The patch 7 update also will supposedly add cross platform multiplayer, so you could have one player on console and one on PC, since you probably don't have two Xboxes, but again, it remains to be seen

Haha that reminds me of the time I helped my upstairs neighbors move. They were super annoying, always shouting over each other and leaving trash bags in the hot sun on their balcony, where the stink could waft into my open window.

I was very excited when I saw them packing their furniture, so I offed to help and we managed to finish it all in only one day. They didn't catch on and just thought I was being nice! They even tried to pay me but I refused - being rid of them was payment enough

I knew a guy who knew a guy who had a friend who was in Iraq around the same time and he said his friend spotted a camel spider running toward them on its hind legs. He unloaded on it with a SAW and blew off a few limbs but it still didn't die!

-a totally true story, I'm sure

TIL that term is considered a slur. I remember learning about them in anthropology class ~15 years ago and that was the term used.

So is the respectful terminology today to use whichever modern LGBTQ label is accurate, or should I use two-spirit in historical context?

Not unless you're really young. I was just a Linux enthusiast and had a tight budget. I think this is the original article that inspired me: https://hackaday.com/2009/09/25/with-zipit-who-needs-a-netbook/

Yep the common name is regional. "Daddy longlegs" can also sometimes refer to crane flies, aka mosquito hawks/mosquito eaters
