I've only heard of the creator making official statements a few times - but they were all like "im the only person in the world making a game that completely innovates its genre every time" and "my remaster is selling like dog-shit"

I took one videogame design class, and the lecturer was like - this guy is a massive douche, but his game is amazing, so he's allowed to be~

can be forked / edited to work for any community -

I know that you can search for instances in the search box, but I wrote a 1 file html file that looks at it's own URL after the hash sign "#" and redirects to the subscribable Beehaw page for the external URL that's pasted after the Hash

EG I want to subscribe to https://aussie.zone/c/sydney

type in this:

https://pushka.com/l/#https://aussie.zone/c/sydney

it Redirects to:

https://beehaw.org/c/sydney@aussie.zone

then click subscribe

**On github ** https://github.com/PushkaCom/z-Lemmy-Redirect-comms

I dunno how the beehaw server is set up, but with a HTACCESS ignore and a subfolder with the html file inside, users could use beehaw.org/fwd#https://URL-HERE.com to auto-rewrite urls~

is this too much for a non-issue?

Actually Moses was VERY prudent, and strategically didn't use the exact word 'apple' only 'fruit' and 'of the tree' - because he knew apple would be a litigious bitch

Now the serpent was more subtil than any beast of the field which the Lord God had made. And he said unto the woman, Yea, hath God said, Ye shall not eat of every tree of the garden?

And the woman said unto the serpent, We may eat of the fruit of the trees of the garden:

But of the fruit of the tree which is in the midst of the garden, God hath said, Ye shall not eat of it, neither shall ye touch it, lest ye die.

And the serpent said unto the woman, Ye shall not surely die:

For God doth know that in the day ye eat thereof, then your eyes shall be opened, and ye shall be as gods, knowing good and evil.

Beehaw - I've made a user-script that adds the home-instance name after people's username in the comments

Preview

Users from beehaw have nothing appended

Can install with tampermonkey, greasemonkey etc.

*The same script for kbin.social *

This is cute~! I hated comic-sans when seeing it on lots of tacky corporate and school signs etc. but recently I ironically and then unironically fell in love with its whacky-ness, bold-ness and readability,

A few years ago my fav. font became PT Mono, from Google Fonts - cyrilic compatible, it has these angular edges, and swoopy circle curves, so cute <3

THEN there was this font printed on 2011 Pentax Q cameras and lenses that I loved, and couldn't find the original, but there was something very similar, STALKER1 and related similar fonts

PT MONO

STALKER1

"explicitly a safe space for minorities" - when discussing certain groups of people not being safe - it is automatically focusing on a small group and not the general public - focus is very often put on not-the-general-public - 'the general public' is not in any danger ever (unless you're talking about global nuclear war)

I've never been super into hiphop until a few years ago when I became obsessed with Freddie Dredd (Memphis rap, phonk, SoundCloud stuff)

And recently stumbled upon Jay Worthy and love his stuff, Step brother of Grimes, been through a lot of gang/ jail stuff toured with her one time and started doing music way more

That would be safest , not a sub-community but start an instance hosted in Switzerland or Russia or something , then no one can complain (maybe mark your site to be blocked in a country or removed from Google.com

I like it ~ I joined mastodon but I think it was way too slow to load images - probably joined some dodgy overloaded server (though I like the Reddit format and community better rather than Twitter)

It's giving me Reddit 15 years ago vibes - smaller tech-savvy and agile community - my Reddit use was on and off through the years; but I like the idea that each community in the Extended Lemmiverse can all have their own vibes and cultures and implementations of the platform and we can all chat and follow topics together 🕊️

I've only been here a short while; but maybe one thing I'd love is not to see reposts in the /all section ; I know the communities are small and growing and can cross post for more stuff , but I'm sure there could be a way for the system to know that the title and url are the same - so only show one , or auto-merge the comments and prioritise posting your comment to your local community instance's post Edit - I might try install an instance on my website and try to make a merge function ~
