I use Autodesk Inventor when at work, but I’m trying to learn FreeCAD for my own hobby project. And while I’ve had to reprogram some workflows I’m slowly getting there. What really excites me about FreeCAD is the different workbenches, such as CfdOf which gives you a nice and understandable gui for OpenFOAM, finally making CFD somewhat accessible to the masses.

There’s also a lot of new and improved functionality coming out with 0.22.

They probably had a solution for it, but mr. “I know better then everyone else” probably took the solution offline while he was dismantling twitter earlier this year

This is the way

Print a plastic hub and insert before you vacuumed seal, easy to reuse and makes the cardboard rolls easy

To be fair, SpaceX cost of 50-60 million per launch is almost a 10x drop in price, ULA is around 400-500 million per rocket. And since they have next to no competition on price, they have no incentive to lower it. It’s just business.

And don’t bring the broken vehicle the shuttle turned out to be into this. A great vehicle on paper, but with to many cooks. The shuttle era gave us the ISS, but is cost us almost all activity outside of LEO.

Even if I try to avoid it, I see reality stars on the front page of new sites everyday. Does that make them more popular to me? No.

Just to chime in, please correct me if I’m wrong, but Lemmy only counts activity as someone who’s posting or commenting (citation needed), so as more people go back to their old ways of lurking, activity will drop as browsing isn’t counted as activity

Yeah, its been 2 weeks and this story gets more and more bizarre. One thing is clear, there’s different set of rules for the elites in Russia

Of nine vehicles attached to the group's mechanised infantry unit -- not the only one involved in the battle -- six were wrecked, three damaged but reparable, and one was unscathed.

So that would be the same images that's been doing the rounds over the last week, but its far from your initial claim that

They lost a significant percentage of their western gear and thousands of people in this attempt so far.

Stop trying to make it out to be more than it is. They lost 6 vehicles pushing through a minefield, I cant say if that's good or bad, but we know from video's taken from the actual point of view that the crew of the damaged Bradley's survived and was evacuated. We also know some of them are being repaired

If that was remotely true, we would have seen more than the recirculated videoed and images we’ve seen so far. Even the “trophy” video was shot at the place the vehicles got knocked out, I.e a highly contested area.
