Quite a few good books in there. I wish the Dragonlance book was on sale. With all of the upcoming changes to 5e, I’m hesitant to buy any of them for more than just fun reading.
The Ohio GOP ignores the Ohio Supreme Court at every turn. Our last election was under an unconstitutional gerrymandered district map designed to give them unfettered one party rule. People here speak about the dangers of China but neglect the dangers of the GOP.
Long Dong Silver needs to ride off into the sunset.
This may vary by state but generally speaking, the assets and debts of a marriage are divided equally. This includes retirement accounts and pensions. I’m not 100% on what happens to social security benefits. The rest are definitely to be divided equally. Neither spouse can horde it all. Loss of earnings potential due to one spouse raising a family is definitely a reason for alimony. In my state, OH, it isn’t strictly required but is customary based on number of years married. It is a finite time. When I first heard about this practice from a guy in Virginia he told me how his ex wife just lived with another man rather than marrying him because he made a lot of money and marrying the new guy would significantly impact her income.
As long as the app is storing the auth token received from the lemmy instance securely it makes no difference whether you login once or multiple times.
That back gesture on android is a system level gesture. On iOS it is an app level thing. If it doesn’t work it’s because the app developer was lazy when they made their own custom navigation controller. File bugs and leave low rating reviews.
I was scrolling through my feed when I suddenly hit the bottom. It was a weird feeling like I had somehow scrolled to the end of Reddit. Now it’s only loading spinners. I plan to keep the Reddit app off of my phone and use mlem instead. My only Reddit use is going to be on my tablet with all of the custom ads and tracking turned off.
Here’s a formula I have used. You have a certain target amount of money that you need/want to make per year. Now remember that you will need to pay taxes and other expenses such as health insurance (in the US) from that number and bump it up accordingly. Let’s call that T. Now there are 52 weeks in the year and the average work week is 40 hours so 2080 possible hours to work. From that number take out holidays, vacation and and an estimated amount of sick time. The average US corp has 10 holidays that they won’t expect to pay you for so the total hours should be no more than 2000. Now simply take T/hours and that is your starting rate. If the contract is 6 months or more and likely to get extended use that number. If it’s contract to hire use that number and remember that your FTE rate will be less than your contract rate. If the contract is short term or has some instability bump up the rate enough to at least partially cover some down time while you’re looking for the next gig.
We do but we’re disenfranchised by heavily Gerrymandered districts.
