I love your username. It makes me want to start a project to bury him called “operation durian”

I wish my company could require that everyone read that page as training. Though, I do use this to tell who’s smarter/productive than others.

My personal explanation is that it is a power saving measure. I got the idea from a fan made Star Trek game called super Star Trek. One could move around with shield up all the time but you’d use up tons of energy

My other theory is that it has something to do with the deflector shields.

This sort of stuff felt like reaching until I witnessed it myself.

For those who don’t know: X is like a swastica, and it’s the 88th ascii character, H is the 8th letter, 88 -> HH -> “hail Hitler”.

Yes. I do feel like Adam West’s Batman.

Lemmy is telling people to flee the US? What did I miss?

I’d imagine most of Alberta is left leaning like the rest of the country and similarly has their left votes split over multiple parties, making it a lot easier for conservatives to win. Same problem we all have really. It just takes a really small nudge of conservatism to tip the scales

Is that what’s up?

I was planning on it, but my country needs me 😞 🇨🇦 maybe later if things calm down.

That makes sense, especially in a place with 240V

Ugh, I’m so jealous. My car is currently charging off of 110V at 12 amps 😭

Well this comment sent me on a bit of a deep dive. My statistical thermodynamics prof told us that microwaves only affect waters dipole, but it seems like they affect all polar molecules, like you say. Maybe it’s a semantics/language thing because I can imagine we could pick the microwave size to match its dipole. It’s been too long. I’d need to crack open some scary textbooks again. Hmm
