You just gotta keep it casual and not creepy. Basic small talk, talk about the lessons, what's going on in your life, current events, etc.

If they're receptive to that and you start hitting it off, then you can try to go for a non weird compliment or ask if they want to grab some food after the lesson or something.

As for non weird compliments, avoid physical attributes that can't be changed and don't be sexual about it. Nice boobs = not okay. I like your hairstyle = okay.

I have the social awareness of a brick but have managed to go from being like anon in the greentext to actually pretty decent at getting girls.

The biggest part is just putting yourself in situations where single women are present so you can practice your casual conversation skills with them, so anon is halfway there.

For the voters, they really don't believe it. I have conservative family members. Everything is always "Oh that's just bullshit cooked up by the crooked Biden crime family" "Oh he didn't mean the words he said very clearly, what he really meant was blah blah blah" followed ten seconds later by "I like him because he tells it like it is"

I just don't get it. What makes this guy seemingly have a force field that can make people deny their own eyes and ears? Ignoring morals here, just thinking with those patterns would give me a cognitive dissonance aneurysm.

They have a duck accelerator inside that fuses antiducks and posiducks together as a source of unlimited power.

The Luxor is ever so slightly bigger I believe.

I live 5 minutes from this. AMA I guess?

The Memphis pyramid was a sports arena and concert venue in the past, eventually the city built another venue that wasn't shaped stupid so it sat abandoned for a decade or so before bass pro bought it.

I did a CS major at a state school and we started with ~400 students. It ended with like 35.

Honestly, a CS major has almost zero practical relevance to most tech jobs anyway beyond filtering out resumes. I can count on one hand the amount of times I used a skill I learned in my classes in my work as a jack-of-all trades dev/sysadmin.

If you wanna work in tech, any college degree works. What's more important is a portfolio that shows you know what you're doing.

It's a good idea. You may want to plan a second activity like lunch or a walk in the park as well.

And just be direct. Something like "Hey, do you want to go on a date with me? We can grab something to eat and go to the comic store."

If she says no, don't push it. Just say okay and wish them well.

I too was terrible at talking to girls. I still am but my girlfriend doesn't seem to mind lol

Whatever you do, just don't try any pickup artist or smooth talking tactics. It's gross and cringey, doubly so if you don't have the confidence to pull it off.

I would also disagree with a lot of the other comments, if you want to date this person, make it clear you want a date. Don't try to do the be friends then turn it romantic thing. It can work but not when you already know you want to date them.

I had family members who told me the vaccine was going to kill me and various other stuff they heard from Fox News and similar.

They all caught COVID at a party in 2021 and died. Seriously. It's awful what all this conspiracy crap is doing to people. It costs lives and affects everyone around them.

While there is no extra muscle, it is factually true that people of West African descent tend to have more fast twitch muscle fibers which is a pretty big advantage in many sports.

This is likely why the myth of the extra muscle originated.

A lot of IRC communities migrated, and it's pretty much the go to option now if you want live communications for your project or org, but don't want something proprietary. It's a pretty good replacement for Teams or Slack.

Cable bin (sh.itjust.works)

Gallon Ziplocs with folded over cardstock sheets for labels, also keeps them rigid so bags of cables that aren't full don't get buried. I have two bins, one with common stuff in my office and the other stays in the basement with all the weird cables.

If there was a service I could pay like $100-200/mo for and just have every movie and TV show I'd happily pay for it. It doesn't exist, but pirate sites do and they do have every movie and TV show, including tons completely unavailable on any streaming service

GabeN got it right, piracy is a service issue. I haven't pirated a PC game in probably 12 years because steam works great and has basically every PC game I could ask for.

What is going on in this comments section? Building dense is massively better for the environment than SFH, both in the construction phase and for the life of the units as far more residents can be served with less infrastructure sprawl. It also doesn't mean that detached housing will suddenly stop existing if we let developers build densely packed housing. Doesn't even need to be high rises, it can be townhomes, duplexes, five-over-ones, etc. You'll still be able to get a white picket fence suburban home or a farmhouse on some acreage if you want. In fact, it will become cheaper because all the people who want to live in cities will actually be able to move there and not take up space in that low density area you want to live in.
