Awesome update. The new comment highlighter is a cool feature, it would be useful if the new comments got highlighted when opening the post.

Are there any plans to remember collapsed comments and keep them collapsed when visiting a post again?

An optional setting to disable inline images in comments would be cool too, some images are really big and I get lost in the comment.

Exciting!

I enjoy providing feedback using TestFlight while something is still in development, but I suppose I need to switch to the App Store version to access the tip jar.

Is there no way to enable a real tip jar for TestFlight?

Could you possibly create an additional subscription via the App Store, allowing me to reinstall TestFlight without canceling the App Store subscription?

The info widget looks a bit out of place when it is moved to the left or right side, since its icons are always center-aligned.

Could you implement that the info widget icons are automatically left-aligned when the info widget is moved to the left side, and right-aligned when it is moved to the right side?

Or a manual way to chose their alignment.

Elon lied about the monkeys — and he shouldn't be trusted to put his Neuralink chips in human brains.

"They are claiming they are going to put a safe device on the market, and that's why you should invest," Ryan Merkley at the Physicians Committee, told Wired. "And we see his lie as a way to whitewash what happened in these exploratory studies."

Really heartbreaking reading what happened to the monkeys.

People quite rightly think of Elizabeth Holmes as a fraud for making false medical claims about what the Theranos machines could do. So why aren't Elon's claims at Neuralink being held to the same level of scrutiny?

The new terms, which are effective from September 29, ban any kind of scraping or crawling without “prior written consent.”

NOTE: crawling or scraping the Services in any form, for any purpose without our prior written consent is expressly prohibited.

The previous version of the terms allowed crawling in accordance with robots.txt.

“NOTE: crawling the Services is permissible if done in accordance with the provisions of the robots.txt file, however, scraping the Services without our prior consent is expressly prohibited,” it read.

In the last few months, Twitter has also altered its robots.txt file — a file that gives instructions to robot crawlers about what parts of the site they are permitted to visit — to remove instructions for all crawler bots apart from Google.

In 2015, Twitter confirmed that it had a firehose deal in place with Google to surface tweets in search results. It is not clear if the nature or terms of that deal have changed under the new management.

I am also using Enpass since a decade or so and never had the urge to switch to another provider. Everything works, you got all the features (TOTP, pawned password auto-checks, native apps and autofill, storage of other things than passwords; …) and pricing is still very reasonable.

It can be fully used offline too (with WiFi sync) or with any local storage or online cloud option.

I bought it one time back then but still pay the small subscription fee since I don’t want Enpass to go away.

  • grey text (easier on the eyes, especially in night mode at night); like post preview text in feed
  • full height posts without post preview (headline view is too small)
  • compact posts setting for general post view/display; similar to compact comments (community and user name only 1 line instead of 2, smaller avatar image, …)
  • mark as read on scroll/open
  • remember settings (post view size, show/hide read) per community

Thanks for all your work, these are just a few suggestions.

The app keeps crashing in the background since the latest public beta of iOS 17. I had to uninstall it.

Just curious, the new/remaining Mlem dev team is different than the original creators of the app?
