I might be missreading this, but the way I'm using Lemmy is subscribed and ordered by new, making mega threads like this might mean I don't see news about big developments. One of the reasons I used to use Reddit was to keep up-to-date with the news. I'm happy if this is just to group speculation and conversation. But each actually news worthy event should get its own thread.
The amount of people has increased, even within the last few days, a bigger community is always better, but I'd like us to keep the same optimistic and appreciative attitudes we all seem to have at the moment, that would really make it so much better than Reddit

But it's easy looking back with hindsight, when you're there and it's actually happening you don't have the luxury of time to think of the most perfect solution.
