I presumed their store is the only way to publish on Apple VR hardware? I'd be happy with just a free repository hosting it.

Does Apple Dev License provide any dev tools or services?

Being able to set a class as abstract is a nice addition.

Not sure how useful Apple VR stuff is, can you release open source games for Apple hardware?

If we had a universal basic income (UBI) thwn working would instead be a choice to improve their standard of living, rather than just to live.

I could agree about liberating work except I assume the AI is trained on artists' works without compensation and permission. Artists created works already and it's taken advantage of to create the AI, presumably for the profit of the proprietary software owner.

Perhaps balaclavas will become common place in response, at least in public places.

A billion dollars is a worthless amount of money, apparently. Do investors have no loved ones?

I can +1 your whole post if I exclude the start. If we talk about it we may discover we mean the same, or similar, when we say "consciousness". What other purpose is there for word definitions?

I watched technical talks (like this) on GNU Taler ages ago so this might be out of date but the most difficult part to me would be the banks being interested in supplying the service necessary. You get money to your browser wallet by transferring it from your bank account.

I don't live in Switzerland and can't imagine banks or government supporting anything but their own version that gives them control.

It was mostly a playful comment on my part (indicated by the emoji) - I've waited this long so they might as well do it properly.

I would like to buy products/services online privately, "using cash" as it were. I also value software freedom and the Taler client is GPL. The API is LGPL but hopefully I can avoid using proprietary software for transactions.

I looked into setting up a method of donations on itch.io when I was focused on that hobby and the options of PayPal or Stripe just felt icky. I don't want to use them, or encourage others to do so.

What are the chances this won't be proprietary?

I lose interest in DF when, after some lucky military dwarfs die in glorious combat, I have to micro manage re-adding dwarfs to squads. Is there a mod to automate adding dwarfs to squads?

I'd love it if the commander/captains would have meetings to choose a new member out of some pool of dwarfs that want to join. And also kick out unhappy, trouble-makers from the military.

+Wood mug+ engraving unrelated.

Hell of a first day.

Cognitohazards are my favorite - at least.. I think I remember them being my favorite.

This sub looks empty, thought I'd post one of my favorite SCP videos.

Work are chucking out a "Cisco 887VA-M" integrated services router.

Anyone know if I can install some custom OS/firmware via the USB on the back?

I expect this is just e-waste but maybe it has some use as emergency switch :)

I had not heard of a weighted blanket until I saw that image and searched for what it might refer to. Are they useful for adults too? Will ask my ADHD friend if they ever had one, might make a good gift.

The image looks like it could be used as a real emoji (expressing comfort). Who made it? I would like to use the image if permission has been given (e.g. Creative Commons licence).
