My comment was meaning to say that the only people who can put laws in place to stop politicians from being able to participate in trading stocks are politicians.

Clearly the laws in place do not stop them currently.

The only people who can stop politicians from being able to participate in the stock market is politicians and well…

Some of the founding fathers were even benefiting from stock and bond trading and selling.

2001 QX4

It has been 90+ degrees where I live and when idling for more than 10-15 min, the A/C stops blowing cold and is humid. Works great otherwise when ambient temps are low and car is moving. The Freon pressure is good. The Enser is old and has some dents, but has been cleaned and looks to be getting airflow. How can I tell what is wrong? Replace the radiator fan clutch? Condenser? Something else? Should also note that the engine temp gets high when on long stretches up uphill highway, but I think that is somewhat normal for an old car, no? Thanks!

Not talking about touching the little guys. Talking about something like limiting sales or buys to $1M per day to curb the leverage these big corps have on the market.

Big guys like Berkshire have so much leverage in the market. They can sell a huge chunk of stocks causing chaos and a huge drop in price, then buy low and profit. The stock market isn’t fair to regular investors. You’re at the mercy of these big firms.

The parts that aren’t free are kind of shiny and up close there are little black flecks like mold.

Thrips?

Just replaced the rotors and new pads. The pads are semi metallic. I’ve noticed a brief rubbing sound when coming to a complete stop and when lifting my foot off the brake pedal from a stop. Is this normal for metallic pads?

2001 Infiniti QX4

Placard on car says 26 psi cold

Tires say 32-49

Rear tire is set to 27 cold

Does this look under-inflated? What’s the lowest I should go?

2001 Infiniti QX4 Automatic 4WD with RWD bias (4WD only kicks in when rear slips)

Had to replace one tire. Should new tire be on front with open diff or rear with LSD rated around 60lb breakaway torque?

The rest of the tires have about 60% tread left. Less than 15k miles on them.

I’m thinking front but want to make sure it won’t cause pulling to one side or mess something up.

Thanks!

EDIT: I know I should do pairs. Wondering if anybody had an opinion if I just kept the one.

Ranked Choice Voting! Find your local RCV group and find ways to help get RCV implemented in your city! It’s something that sees opposition from republicans and democrats so you know it’s good.

The Fair Representation Act has been re-introduced in Congress. This bold solution can stop gerrymandering and make Congress work for every American.

The Fair Representation Act can solve partisan gerrymandering, make every congressional district competitive, and encourage politicians to represent all of us instead of just their base. It does this by combining three reforms:

  • Multi-member districts. In three- or five-member districts, nearly every voter will elect a candidate they support. Voters like Massachusetts Republicans and Oklahoma Democrats will be represented in Congress. Gerrymandering will become nearly impossible.

  • Ranked choice voting for all U.S. House and Senate elections. RCV frees voters to support their favorite candidates, and encourages candidates to reach out to more voters for second-choice support. When RCV is used in multi-member districts, it is a form of proportional representation.

  • Uniform rules for congressional redistricting

The Fair Representation Act can be passed without a constitutional amendment. It truly has the potential to transform our political system and create a more inclusive and deliberative government which respects and empowers all voices.

it's a car. it's not an app. stop trying to apply subscriptions to everything. it's wasteful to have unnecessary bloat for features people don't want.

Hopefully setting a precedent for other states in similar situations. The states need to stop relying on the fed to protect them from radicals and get it done themselves. Their reliance on the fed has allowed extremists to thrive in their state and bleed into local politics.

The fact this man didn’t get a shot at the office is proof that our electoral systems and rep/dem duopoly is failing us.
