As the other person said, something is wrong if your machine is shutting down instead of just giving choppy playback.

Do you do much heavy CPU with with that machine at all? It's possible that AV1 decoding is the only thing you're trying to do that pushes the CPU to that degree. 7th Gen Intel CPUs have hardware decoders for h.265, so the CPU is barely used to play these back, but lacking a decoder for AV1 means it has to be decoded in software, which hits the CPU hard.

What is gained by having no eyes? Can you answer my question about what it means to regress?

What do you mean by "regress"? Is the Mexican tetra un-evolving its eyes not a regression?

It's just interesting that there's a distinction between botanical and culinary classification. Once you realise that there are two different systems that don't necessarily need to completely agree then it's not a big deal.

...also, what exactly is wrong with taking a bite out of a tomato like an apple? They're delicious.

Pretty sure they were speaking in reference to the anecdote they were about to relay.

Ktarians could have shorter gestation periods and the horns aren't developed before both. Or a thicker skull so they aren't fully erupted. Or maybe Ktarians lay eggs.

There are definitely ways to run partial testing suites on modified code only. I feel like much of what you're complaining about is an already solved problem.

Because they're easily identified even at great distances, which at one point was an important function of flags.

What are the nature of the complaints? Just the game compatibility issues mentioned above, or something else?

I'm not saying there shouldn't be a disclosure, but an uncertain threshold that might be as low as "a developer accepted a copilot completion suggestion one time" isn't useful. You just end up with a prop65 situation where it's slapped on everything and basically meaningless.

Because it becomes meaningless noise instead of useful information.

I responded similarly when I saw this posted before. Yes, mercury can be very toxic if it gets into your blood, but the chances of that happening from a lick are astonishingly small.

I made a post here a few days ago complaining about content all being elsewhere, which was nice to vent, but doesn't really help the situation. Now I've decided to be the change.

Let's actually talk a little. What games do you all play? Tell me what you like about them!

Personally I've always been big into Street Fighter. I enjoy almost any fighting game, but the SF series is the one that I have by far put the most time into. I'm having a blast with SF6, even if I am just a diamond rated scrub. :D

Just venting, but if you want to avoid Twitter it means missing out on easily 90% of FGC activity, and the remaining 10% is almost all Discord and Reddit.

RIP SRK.

I can't wait.
