The comment you replied to doesn't list any maintenance tasks or annoyances. I genuinely have no idea what you're referring to with the opening line.

...all what things they listed?

Isn't Cyberpunk DRM free? Why do you need a repack? If the bit that didn't work was the repack's self-extractor/installer I guess that would make a little more sense.

Here's a music news site: https://www.musicbusinessworldwide.com/gaming-giant-steam-faces-legal-action-from-the-uks-prs-over-alleged-unlicensed-use-of-music-in-games/

It sounds every bit as stupid there, if not more so because it's apparently a normal aspect of distribution licensing in the UK.

Game developers and publishers typically secure sync licences to cover the embedding of music in their titles.
However, in the UK, those sync deals do not extend to the making available of that music when games are subsequently distributed via download or streaming platforms.
The ‘communication to the public’ right — i.e. the making available right — sits with PRS, not individual music publishers, meaning Valve requires its own separate licence as the platform operator distributing games that contain PRS members’ works.

The canted wheels indicate this is a sports chair of some kind, don't they? Seems odd for the setting of the picture.

Or just learn how the god damned devices you use work.

I do not understand how it became so normalized to just not bother with knowing how anything works. It's not like this is a new thing either. So many old jokes surrounding people's VCR clocks not being set.

The default behavior of the Deck in game mode is to output a native resolution signal to the monitor but still run games at 1280x800 and upscale with FSR.

You can alter the resolution the games will run in via the properties for each game. Naturally what resolution you can run a game well at is going to vary wildly by game.

In desktop mode it will behave more like a normal PC and just output at the resolution you select just like on any other desktop PC.

This is an exceedingly strange comment. What is it you "get" about homosexuality?

Aside from every other stupid aspect of such a stupid idea, I'm curious where he thought people were going to be able to get hydrazine to refuel the thruster.

Yeah, agree that choosing the same distro again was kind of silly, but understand wanting to give it a second try. I was also disappointed by the decision though.

Was glad to see Luke choose CachyOS. I slapped it on a small gaming machine a couple of months ago and have been quite happy with it.

He's said a couple of times that he's trying to view it through the lens of a casual, non-technical user, and the fact that similar problems also exist on Windows doesn't stop them from being problems.

I made a post here a few days ago complaining about content all being elsewhere, which was nice to vent, but doesn't really help the situation. Now I've decided to be the change.

Let's actually talk a little. What games do you all play? Tell me what you like about them!

Personally I've always been big into Street Fighter. I enjoy almost any fighting game, but the SF series is the one that I have by far put the most time into. I'm having a blast with SF6, even if I am just a diamond rated scrub. :D

Just venting, but if you want to avoid Twitter it means missing out on easily 90% of FGC activity, and the remaining 10% is almost all Discord and Reddit.

RIP SRK.

I can't wait.
