I'm just a layperson, but my guess would be that they could start from the bottom and work their way up. They can't touch Trump, but they can start sending US Marshalls to round up the underlings that refuse to obey the orders or the court.
Now would the Marshalls do that? Who the hell knows. And maybe there's a problem with that plan I don't know. I like it better than just assuming the executive branch is defacto untouchable.

Always, if they can deal with the consequences. But if the consequence is being blocked by a country they could make money from, chances are slim.
My understanding is that it is technically a "federated" standard, but I think there is a lot of technical hurdles to implementing and hosting a compatible server. So no one actually does it, and I'm not sure they'd federate even if someone went through the trouble of getting it up and running.
That's what we want, though. People and organizations with the most means to do so are the most morally obligated to resist.

Ironic that AI proficiency is increasingly being required for the positions in the first place. Red flag if you use AI, and a red flag if you avoid using AI. Catch 22 lol.
I suspect everyone is just going to be a manager from now on, managing AIs instead of people.
