Had been on torrents for super long but never used a private tracker so reliability and speed was all over the place. Recently switched to Usenet and the speed and inherent security far surpasses my experience with torrents. Couple bucks a month and nearly maxing out a 1Gbps connection is fine by me.

My best is easily when I had a sleepover with a cousin and we spent the entire night (literally no sleep) playing a Japanese import of Super Mario Bros 3 months before it was available in the US. Magical, I’ll never forget it.

That would ultimately hurt the children though, as they would suddenly not be able to take AP courses and therefore would fall behind competitively when compared to peers. It's not the kids fault they live here, so other solutions need to be found.

While it has nothing to do with web dev, the app “Paste” gives you an infinite copy-paste history that is extremely useful in all kinds of ways, but I certainly make use of it when moving code around or needing to paste short strings in sequence from one place to another. You can just copy-copy-copy-copy a bunch of things and then be able to easily find the spots you have to paste into without all the flipping back and forth.

Do you know the cartoon gif of the cat with a sandwich strapped to its belly that just spins forever in space and will never hit the ground? That’s basically Mike Pence, the ultimate flip flopper.
