It feels like it was yesterday, and forever ago at the same time. Super cool though, Proton has changed so much about how I use Linux. As a gamer it literally made me able to make the switch full time that I'd been trying to make for years.
That's really cool! :)
My only real complaint is that some of the groups I was in on reddit either aren't here, or are super small here. As far as the people go, maybe I've just been lucky but most folks have been pretty nice, and thus far I haven't really run into the extremist stuff some folks ahve mentioned.
The thing that really rubs me the wrong way about all this is we pay for Windows, I have 3 licenses for Windows 11 and it's gotten so annoying that I don't even use them anymore. I've been a Linux user for quite a while already and between Microsoft's doing more and more data collection, and more ads, I just walked away from it a couple years ago. Fortunately, I was in a position where I could do so. I feel bad for folks that must use Windows for this or that and can't escape it.
Idiocracy is slowly becoming a documentary, and I hate it.
Actually came here to mention this. I can't imagine anyone that wouldn't know the difference considering how popular both breeds are.
And here I am just waiting my turn. LOL!
I only go to Reddit now because of one or two forums that don't exist on here yet, But the more I see stories like this, the more I'm inclined to just say screw it and nuke my account.

Eh, honestly I don't care about the porn, but with a lot of subreddits flying the NSFW flag just to piss off advertisers, that makes life a lot more shitty. shrugs Oh well, just one more reason to make myself scarce there.
Everything Google has done since the end of the, “Don’t be evil”, days has made me want less and less to do with them. I’ve been trying to scrub them from my life for a bit now, the only two things I still use being Gmail and YouTube. Though I’m pretty close to cutting those ties as well now. I just wish more the creators i liked weren’t only on there.
This works for people in the state of Florida too.
