I wasn't paying that much attention, I hope I am not badmouthing mozilla, but I believe I had the same experience with snap install of Firefox on current xbuntu. Maybee a month ago? I am using DDG by default and always remove Google from the search engine list. The thing updates, I do a random search and get the google screen asking me all the questions about cookies and privacy I simply don't know how to answer. I go into settings and find google set as default search engine. What is even stranger, I can no longer remove google from the list! This seems to me so ridiculous I decide it has to be a bug I am happy to report that when I've noticed next update (becase those annoying tabs informing about new features) - I was again able to remove google from the search engine list.

Mozilla acts pretty scary nowadays - maybe naively - I am pinning my hopes on Ladybird.

I am (also I suspect) visiting the WebToons site from EU and not only that I've failed to replicate the registration issue ( none required ๐Ÿค”) - there is an RSS feed ๐Ÿ˜Ž. I don't think it's my UBlock on FFox fork as the site looks / acts the same on Safari on MacOS....

True. It should be notes though that India has its own "Gaganyaan" space capsule with it's HLVM3 rocket. First uncrewed test flight hopefully 4Q this year and first manned fight planned for early 2027. But there have been delays before - space is hard.

I've been only able to complete the game with the hunter, but I've just recently managed the same w/ cleric in IMO way too few tries (like 3-4? I may have been lucky). What I like about him:

  • you get the "guiding light" from begining. It does some damage and guarantees first hit, you can upgrade it - that is enough for most enemies at least first 5 levels used sensibly.
  • you also get the "holy intuition" ability to determine if an item is safe to use - for little cost. This allows me to be much less conservative when using new weapons / armor since I usually don't get to learn how the scroll of remove curse looks like before level 5. That is so much of a gamechanger for me, I'm almost afraid the ability is going to get "nerfed" - at least get costlier .
  • around level 5 you get to the "sunray" or something - cheap and practical - lasts like 6 turns -I use it all the time, does some damage and the enemy really doesn't see you until you are one block away. great for ranged enemies. You can blast somebody w/ it and just run away.
  • and finally you get "some spear" - I don't really reacall the name - that allows you to "raiders of the lost arch" style one shot pretty much anyone you don't really want to bother with. Quite usefull above level 20. That one is slighlty costlier though.
  • and than are the honorable mentions like the ability to walk through fields of traps "devine sense" , and "recall inspiration" that sounds interesting but I've never managed to use it...

Edit: sorry - got carried away - in case of tengu I suspect I've been lucky enough having strong armour (i've identified all of them thx to the intuition feature an wearing it / some scrolls of identify - i don't use spells of upgrade until i get to the metal armour - if i can help it) and as usually I've brought every ranged / throwing weapon i've managed to pick up along the way and had the book charged up and had some potions of health for fighting while being aflame...

They are operating exclusively Boeing 737 variants ( afaik 600+ planes) to save money by symplifying maintenance and pilot training. Adding another new completely different plane into the mix (one noone outside china knows how to maintain or fly) would add lots of costly complexity and overhead they can do without. They would have to fully switch only to single COMAC plane variant for all future purchases to make it make sense and imo they are nowhere near beaing ready fot that kind of commitment.

That is all true. I'd still prefer it to an unarmored donkey

Yes. Czech is ridiculous, How about "Kupujte v Evrope" / "Nakupujte v Evrope" - that literally means "Buy in Europe" not "Buy European products", yet Its short I believe has pretty much the same meaning.

That is a famous superstition https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=W8wZbNmdIKw

To be fair: I didn't know either, until I had a long discussion on the topic with my colleagues wife - who is an Italian.

"Al dente" essentially means "cook your pasta as long as you like"

Doesn't it say:

Although the fabricated passport likely would not withstand scrutiny due to the absence of an embedded chip, it proved sufficient to bypass the most basic KYC procedures employed by some fintech services.

From what i gather about these "Know Your Customer" systems, they take the photo of your ID, check if it is realistic enough and then check the picture on your ID (bad as it is) against your authentic photo made through the app. Verification against 3rd party API confirming existence of such ID while welcome / preferred seems to be optional (doesn't work for all IDs - there may be technical/ legal barriers).

So the vulnerability has probably always been there, still is (?!?), for a sweet moment in time it was just more easy to exploit?
