I don’t know much history either. Maybe Sinai in the Yom-Kippur war (1973)?

Well, if you consider Israel to be a nuclear power…

A new public library place recently opened very near to where I live. I've nothing to say, am just a bit comforted that when the world is crashing and burning, at least I can be happy about this.

Also some libraries provide 3D printers which is really cool

edit: I didn't notice how many people were commenting about 3D printers

Similarly, 1/3 = 0.3333…
So 3 times 1/3 = 0.9999… but also 3/3 = 1

Another nice one:

Let x = 0.9999… (multiply both sides by 10)
10x = 9.99999… (substitute 0.9999… = x)
10x = 9 + x (subtract x from both sides)
9x = 9 (divide both sides by 9)
x = 1

Interesting that an Israeli newspaper provides a more balanced report than US outlets… how did that happen?

Mine provides a connection, but doesn’t expose ports on v6. So I can access v6 services but can’t self-host any.

Protests were calling for years for Netanyahu to go to The Hague. Is it happening?

Netanyahu only wants one thing, and it’s to stay in power for as long as possible. If a regional war gives that to him (via Ben-Gvir), he won’t mind.

Edit: He currently holds a parliamentary majority. If he agrees to a ceasefire, the more extreme members of his coalition will no-confidence him together with the opposition. And, as it stands right now, he has no chance of participating in the next government.

Before timezones and trains, each town had its own natural time (based on the sun or whatever). Would you have preferred that?
